HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!!

Sorry our condo is so late, but even with meds I'm kind of in a fog. @-) I finally conceded defeat yesterday (after fighting this crud for 6 weeks) and went to the doctor. Jessica and I had home-diagnosed it correctly (allergic asthma), but I needed prescriptions. Anyhoo - by last night, I was already seeing some improvement! WOO-HOO!! In other OT good news, Doug is hoping to receive a call tomorrow to schedule his shoulder surgery, possibly in the next 2 - 4 weeks! YIPPEE!!

We had moved Hershey's shot time to accommodate us hanging out with Sammy for the Super Bowl. Hershey saw yucky numbers as we moved shot time back out :15 each cycle, so (last night) we decided to move him the final hour at one time, like ripping off a band-aid. Get it over with at once and hopefully, go back to better numbers. Anyhoo - Doug reported that at AMPS today, the insulin pen (opened 9/12, but seems I didn't note the date) had more bubbles than insulin, so he started a new pen. I don't know what to attribute today's numbers to. We were headed out for a walk today (to enjoy the 60 degree sunshiny day!) and I debated about testing Hershey before heading out. Decided to wait until we returned. That's when I caught the (29) . Guess I should've tested on the way out  . Keeping a closer eye on him since then...

He's been awake most of the day, but not active. I'm thinking after getting used to blues/greens, then seeing those pinks/upper yellows and back abruptly to the greens, probably doesn't feel so great. Otherwise, all is well in Hershey Land.

Thank you for visiting us today; we like the company :-D

Have a great night -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

Coulda, woulda, shoulda.... nah, if you'd tested him before, you might have seen a 48 and fed it, and denied him the opportunity to make your heart beat faster. :o

He and Oreo probably watched you come up towards the house and Hershey said "Hey, watch this....I'm getting YOUR food!"

Re: 2/6 Hershey AMPS(311)PMPS(88)+6.25(74) Reducie!

  You're probably right, Carl - except for one thing. The (29) got Hershey the kitty crack, so even better than Oreo's food. Maybe he overshot his mark, though.

+6.25 (74)

Now he'll surf, maybe dip 10 points, just for a taste of Oreo's menu. He wants it all! The all you can eat buffet...

Congrats on the reducie. Paws crossed he'll hold it this time. Nice green cycle tonight!  :-D :-D

Re: 2/6 Hershey AMPS(311)PMPS(88)+8.5(52) Reducie!

Carl - I think you're right that he wants it all! I've told him and told him. Hit 40 - 49 and you get Oreo's food. 39 and below = Kitty crack. I think his meter must be off. He just gave me that (52), then meowed, tried to lead me to the kitchen and gave me this 'are you really that dense?' look when I didn't follow him. No, sir. (49), not (52). Line in the sand. Was hoping the 8.5 was the final test of the night, but guess I'll add (hopefully only) one more test.

Hey, Wendy - Thanks, I hope he likes the reduction, too!!

It's 1:35am. Hershey is sitting at my feet, waiting...Oreo, poor attention-starved Oreo has cried almost non-stop since Jessica went to bed ~1-1/2 hours ago, because he wants her to come out and play with him. He will take brief breaks to pounce/slap/chase the pompom, then back to crying. Kind of pitiful, actually. But, he's not truly attention-starved, he just puts on a good show. ;-)

+7.5 (66)
+8.5 (52)

Well, Carl - you called it! The (48) earned Hershey some of Oreo's food, so now he can be happy!

+9.16 (54)
+10 (48)
tsp 7% - Congrats - you got the full buffet today!

And, surely, we can call it a night since shot time is 2 hours away...My pillow is calling...LOUDLY! Goodnight...

Hi Libby, wow that was some night for you! By now you should be in REM sleep. Congrats on the reducie. Thanks for visiting us yesterday.

Jeez, fun night, huh?
You mistook what he was saying when he was at 52...
He was saying "meter variance Mom, it could be a 48!" :-)
Carl

Hi Libby & Hershey,

Just getting caught up here. Hope you got those 2 hours of sleep!!! The 28 was probably also influenced by the 1- hour change in shot time and the new pen. Triple whammy! Let's hope he settles down today and that he will hold the reducie.

Glad that you got yourself checked out and are feeling better. Thanks for visiting us late last night,

Hugs,

Ella & Rusty

Hey, Ann - Yes, ma'am, those two hours of sleep were WONDERFUL!

Yes, Carl - meter variance would be Hershey's argument. But, he'd say that I just couldn't see the decimal in that (400), that it was actually (40.0) and he at least deserved Oreo's food!

Hey, Michelle - Thanks. Hoping he likes the reducie...

Hey, Ella - I've seen discussions back and forth as to whether or not a new pen is more potent. Wish I had noted when we started the last one so I could see if his numbers looked different. Oh, well. I don't think the moving of the shot time should've mattered since we moved him out to +13, but who knows? He does - but he's not telling! ;-) Thanks for the well wishes for him and me. After a little over 6 weeks of feeling yucky, I'm READY to feel better!

Hope y'all are having a fabulous day!!!
