There is nothing quite like being awakened at 3:30 am by the sound of a cat throwing up. Next to you. In your bed. Usually, I hear it in time to pitch her (it's almost always Sasha) onto the floor before she erupts, but this time I was not so lucky. Ewwww! So there I was, sopping up regurgitated cat food, and the DH is sleeping soundly inches away. I had it pretty much mopped up and went to get a clean towel to put over the spot so I could go back to bed, and the DH rolls over on top of it.
Had to wake him up enough to move him, covered the spot, changed my pjs, and went back to sleep, eventually. Now my washer and dryer are busily humming away. :YMSIGH: Sasha, meanwhile, was ravenous this morning, eating everything in her path. I kept trying to slow her down to prevent a repeat performance, but so far she has held it down. There is nothing to be concerned about with her. She has a sensitive digestive system and periodically vomits for no apparent reason. Her allergies are acting up, and I've started putting L-lysine and Allerplex in her food, which she doesn't seem to mind. I hope it helps her. She's been snoring more and coughing lately, and if that doesn't clear up in another day or so I'll be making another trip to the vet. :YMSIGH:
Cinco seemed to be adjusting to the new dose nicely last night. I wasn't too happy seeing pink this morning, even though it was just barely. He came down at +3.5. I'll be testing again in a half hour, so maybe I'll see an even better number then (anti-jinx). He made a nice, healthy-looking deposit in the lb yesterday, but ruined it by dragging his butt across the carpet afterwards
. More ewwww!. I should buy stock in one of the companies that makes carpet cleaner.
;-) I have started putting 1/8 tsp of miralax in his food the day after he has a bm, and maybe it's helping - I don't know. At least he is going on a somewhat regular schedule, even if it is only once every three days or so. Perhaps the fact that he really doesn't move around a lot has something to do with that?
The forti-flora I ordered came yesterday, and Cinco seems to like it just fine, as he has eaten every bite of food I've put it in. Harvey, on the other hand, does not like it. I even put some in his beloved chicken baby food, and he wanted nothing to do with it (but Sasha liked it just fine, little pig). That cat is so difficult! At least he's still gobbling the pill pocket with his AB in it (anti-jinx)
We have rain! Not a lot, but a light, steady rain has been falling all night and on and off today. Won't bust the drought, but we'll take all we can get!
Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans.
P.S. +6 did not continue slide.
