AMPS 281 - highest number in months. :YMSIGH: Gave him one fat unit of insulin and will recheck several times (a mini curve every three hours) to see where he goes with this dose.

Yesterday I gave the same dose in the morning (second highest number in months in the morning yet a full 30 points less than today!! UGH!) and he came down reasonably well although never saw green territory or even 120's. Not sure what in the world is happening but if this does not settle back down, will be calling the vet soon. :roll: :? :? :roll:

It's a steep drop, Joyce but he has quite a ways to go before 40-50. Hope he flattens out but if not, you can use a tiny bit of gravy off high carb or a little honey on his gums, if you have to, if he won't eat.

He is coming back up as expected but nice and slow...we will see where he is at PMPS though. Hoping he is not back up over 200! nailbite_smile

All in all, not a bad day and a little better than he has been...we shall see if he climbs again tonight from a similar pre shot reading as last night he rose at nadir to over 200!
