Hi Folks:

First thank you all for showing up and helping me and Scooter. It means the world to me. :-D

This morning his bg is 377. So I prepared his meds and food so he couldn't see the meds. :smile: I was so concerned he was hurting that I gave him his bupe first and he did that "I hate this" face which lead to "don't prick me" face so I missed his shot with out realizing it till the syringe was empty. So I am not sure if he got any but I am sure it is on his fur. :roll: Then we moved on to the "I have a soar mouth momma" face and I gave him is clindrops. So I felt like a bad Mom. ugh! I started him on fortiflora last night and I am giving it to him every meal and snack now. That he likes! :lol:

So he is on my lap in the sun beam and snoring a tiny bit. :-D

I imagine his bg will go up today but I am okay with that if he is out of pain. I will give it earlier if he needs it later and I added more regular food to his baby food this morning. His belly is full!

To those of you on the east coast in the storm I hope you stayed home and are enjoying inside today! :-D

Hi guys .. it sounds like you guys have had a rough morning .. but at least he's content on your lap now and will only continue to feel better ... have a great day guys!

The dreaded fur-shot! ( If I had a dollar for every one I gave. . .)

The important thing is that Scooters mouth is on the mend and he is feeling no pain, thanks to his attentive momma-bean.
The BGs will get sorted out before you know it.
 
You're such a good bean for all you're doing! It's hard when you can't explain to them why in cat language :? I had a day or two like that last week...

Sorry about the fur shot, we've all done the ohmygod_smile . At least he likes the forti flora, that seems to be a constant with all kitties that I've seen :lol: I hope your day gets better and Scooter works that juice (in the depot and hopefully some that got in)! :-D
 
He may be in the pinks right now, however, those are getting far and few between now. I'm not familiar with Levemir, though. It seems to be doing him a world of good. Sending him tons of wonderful appy vibes, and wishing for him to make a full and speedy recovery. Please stay safe, and warm up there.
 
Our kitties sure know how to let us know they're not happy with us, don't they? Looks like Scooter has already forgiven you though since he's been napping on you!

Sorry about the furshot! They're just another unwelcome step in this dance.

Hope Scooter's mouth heals quickly and you'll see some much better numbers soon!
 
Ahhh, fur shots!! How well I know them. One of the reasons my DH gives the insulin. :lol:

How nice that Scooter has such a forgiving nature. Cinco used to be like that, but lately I've had to do something "mean" to him just about every few hours, and he's starting to carry grudges. cat(2)_steam Harvey just doesn't trust me for several days after. :YMSIGH:

I'm glad the drugs are helping with the pain, and once it's all gone, I bet you'll see some better numbers. Sending healing vines.
 
Oh boy, sounds like a rough morning Linda. Scooter is lucky to have you to help him recover from his dental. I have done the fur shots. I am sure he will feel better each day.

Thank you for all validating my furshot! :-D

Scooter had a quiet day and cuddled a lot. He has moved back to his pate food and his teeth are so white! His breath is much better and he still snore's. :lol:

I didn't have the heart to prick his ear much today since he was being quiet and I missed the shot. I figured his numbers were red and they were. I got his shot tonight along with his clindrops and bupe so he is good to go. :-D

Hoping all of you who got snow today made it thru safe and sound.
