Well, I thought we were on our way down last night but Cobb took a wrong turn. Just like a man...not stopping to ask for directions! :lol:

Past two nights have been calmer with not leaving food out. That works for now, but I may have to try freezing some food in the future to see if that works. Any advice from those who do that? How long it takes to freeze, melt, etc?

All 5 P's are in place this morning. I actually caught Cobb preening twice yesterday! So while numbers aren't great, his behavior continues to improve. I'm off to get a new vial of insulin today...we'll see what that does.

I freeze fuds into catsicles :-D I bought a silicon ice cube tray, add a half to 3/4 water in the cat food can to 1 can of food and blend it in my magic bullet. Then pour into 8 portions (that's what I feed her, 8 mini meals over 24 hours usually). I had to play to get the amounts right. They don't take long to freeze, maybe a few hours to be solid. And they usually take about 2 hours to thaw. But if I leave them out in a bowl, Chyna will lick them to death if she is hungry and get that frozen catsicle into her :lol: So I put them in an autofeeder now ;-) That's a little in depth I guess, some people aren't as picky (ie OCD) as I am! And it of course depends on how you want to feed. Just my two cents on what I do :-D

I love your man comment! I hope that Cobb will slide down for you today, I'm glad to hear how he is feeling much better :-D

Nice drop into the sunny yellows Cobb!..now it's time to come on down to the blues!

Glad to see he's feeling better too....the first big change I noticed in China was she had started to preen again. I hadn't really realized she'd stopped until after we started this dance and one day I caught her and realized I hadn't seen her preen for a very long time.

Are you kidding me, Cobb? Did you know I was running extremely low on test strips so you threw me a low blue number for your preshot?? Where did that come from?

So yeah, I had an interview this afternoon so when I left I went to pick up a new vial of insulin. I was going to stop by Walmart on my way back to get some test strips because, of course, the ones I ordered from ADW will be here tomorrow. I had 3 test strips left and since he's been high, I figured I'd be safe waiting for the mail. (A strip for preshots and a before bed test.) But noooooooo...instead, let's throw Mom a curveball and not only give her a low number. Let's give her our lowest ever preshot number! Since I was out and low on strips, I told Matt to skip getting a test, who knows if he dipped into the green?? ERG!!!!

Anyone up for a PJ party possibly? Who knows what this cat is going to do next?!

Edited to add: I ran out to Walmart to get some strips to tide us over until tomorrow's mail. I guess that was an important part of the story!!

You mean you forgot the Cobb is a cat? And it's their job to confuse us?

Of course he's going to throw you a low number since you were out of strips...it never fails! That's why I have an extra box of 50 strips in my "hypo kit". I don't touch that box, so just in case I get a really low number at 3am, I don't have to leave to go get more. I basically forget I even have it, so when my "main" supply gets low, I buy them at that time instead of breaking into my "emergency" stash

WOO HOO on the blue pre-shot!! Now surf safely in those blues for your mamabean Cobb!

oh cobb. funny how they KNOW when it's least convenient to go low! :lol:

happy to see him in good numbers though. way to go on shooting low! you know to get a +1 and +2, right? i think you do, but just for posterity (and lurkers) i'll repeat that anytime you shoot a new low, you want to get a +1 and +2 to see what they're doing!

at least your order will be here tomorrow and then you'll be set for a bit.

Don't you know Suzanne that's a rule of FD. Go as low as possible when the care giver least expects you too. Just to make it more exciting. ;-) I remember Lovey pulled some very low numbers for my dad's surprise party.

How often should I test him? I usually wake up around 1:30, which is 3.5 hours from no. That seems a little long. I can probably stay awake for another hour or so.

And it's a slow dip, which I think is fantastic. I hope Cobb can out fox Mr L, because Cobb is perfect just where he is.
