Good Sunday Morning!
I hope everyone is doing fine this morning and for our little one's laid-up more healing vines and snowflakes are on the way!
Attie did get over his Grumpy a bit last night, but still is not himself. 'Course he has not been for some weeks now since that very bad URI that got into his chest. He did let me do a pretty good brush-out on him without too much fuss and at moments he even seemed to enjoy getting his mane fluffed. There were a few matts starting so we caught those before they got to needing the razor-comb. And we did give him a bit of a wipe down with some pet wipes with coat conditioner.
Even Gary needed some grooming assistance! He is short-hair, I find he is not as attentive to his lower back area and he will get matted up back there too. I think it may be due to the undercoat he gets from being a "feral" all those years. The big difference is Gary loves to be brushed, combed, curry combed and even seems to like the razor-mat comb! He hates the pet wipes though!
So between the winter thick coats and the dry air a bit of grooming was needed. I like the pet wipes with coat conditioners in them as they do seem to help deter those fast forming winter matts.
I put my New Year's List up on my FB page and like most folks have already failed at my January resolution. Well, maybe not quite failed, but didn't quite complete as well as I would have liked. It was to get the kitchen "done." A fresh coat of paint, cupboards cleaned and organized. Well we got 3/4's of the cupboards organized...we still need paint and I can't decide on a color ...or can't find the color. I've brought home several paint chips and tests and I just don't like them. Silly stinkin' galley kitchen that would take two quarts to paint and I just can't seem to get it done. I keep picking greens...and I hate green! There are two colors I absolutely hate in houses...most greens and taupes! I think I came to HATE these colors because my parents smoked and my aunt smoked...and they picked those colors to hide the nicotene stains. In this house when I moved in it took 7 coats of ceiling paint and even today there are spots where you can see the nicotene coming through! Maybe I just should not watch so much HGTV! :?
