Lots of cuddles this morning, and while I don't love the +2 number, it does reassure me that I can go have soul food with my colleagues over lunch and not have to run home to get a spot check. Peachtree Buffet, here I come, with a whole week's worth of weight watchers points!!

After a +5 last night of 145, I'm curious how low he ultimately dipped. I'm going to get a curve this weekend to confirm where his nadir is at these days, and I am going to make a concerted effort to set an alarm to catch the +10 on the PM cycle.

The AM cycle, I feel like I'm in a bind. Right now, I'm shooting at 7am, getting a +2 at 9am, and getting to work around 9:30. The +2 gives me an indication of whether or not I need to come home over lunch to spot check (which I can do anytime from +4 to +7). But if I do that, I can't leave the office until 6pm, or +11. If I start getting ready before our AMPS and leave right after, I'm just guessing about whether or not to come home for a lunch spot check, but I can be home by +9.5. If I bump back our shot times by an hour (6s rather than 7s), that might help, but then I need to go to bed earlier, so I won't get later spot checks in the pm unless I set alarms.

Sorry to babble. I'm thinking outloud (or something like that!)... "mental vomit" is what I used to call it when I was a college instructor. :)

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi Christie!

I love the mental vomit... :) (still no smiles for me...) It used to worry me so when I was working - I'd shoot, test an hour or so later and then Mannie was on his own until I got home just before his pmps. i never knew what he did during the daytime. scary stuff.... They only thing with him back then was that we rarely saw many greens, so while the worry was there, it wasn't like I thought he'd go hypo. I worked so far away that there was no coming home for lunch. SO much better now that I don't have that job.

God luck doping the curve this weekend. I love curves - so full of so much information! I hope it goes well. Good luck with getting that PM +10 - my downfall. I can now in the day but at night? i never ever hear the alarm. aiyee!

Have a great night! Relax with that furry purry of yours. And Willie? - be good to your bean!

Hi Christie, "Catch 22" with the hours and the tests! Oh well, you have to work, so there you are!! Hope you enjoyed your soul-food lunch with your friends today. Sounds delicious.
Good luck with your curve this weekend. Hey Willie, it won't be so terrible!

Hope you got your soul food in with friends today....sounds yummy!!! Looks like Willie got his nice little lantus second dip there! Yay!! Wonder what he's thinking for tonight?

Hoping we get a decent dip tonight... want to be able to show the specialty vets on Monday that what we are doing is working! Looking over the spreadsheet, I think it is so far so good!

Lunch was so awesome... I totally blew most of my weight watchers points for the week, but was soooo worth it! Fried chicken, baked chicken and fried catfish... with fried potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, collard greens, butter dripping homemade rolls and sweet potato cornbread muffins... with a dish of piping hot peach cobbler for dessert. I spent most of the afternoon in a food coma, and i'm not sure i can even contemplate dinner, but it was a great afternoon, celebrating a new opportunity for a colleague.

Now, the Wee Dub is passed out on the couch next to me, sleeping with a big smile on his face. Actually hoping he continues to get lots of rest until our appointment... is the one time his little body actually lets him be comfortable. vaseline seems to be helping his ears... and he knows it. he will now very patiently let me goop them up for him.

hope everyone is having a great night!
