So, given the ugly numbers the past couple of days, it could have been the tuna flavored Bupe or not, I'm not really sure. The pharmacy was kind enough to just go ahead and compound another script of Bupe without the tuna and the added "filler" they said they put in it. He hasn't sky rocketed with this new Bupe so I think that may have been some of the cause for the icky numbers but not all. His eyes are still a bit weepy.
The vet was supposed to come out today to draw blood from Tommy and Belle but the impending 8 inches of snow currently falling out of the sky has put a damper on that, :? So it has been scheduled for this Thursday if the weather permits.
I am extremely pleased to announce that I was able to obtain a urine sample (first time I've ever tried) from my civvie Teddy Bear at 6a.m. CST today. He was the one who was making not so pleasant sounds the beginning of January and not having any pee pee come out. Ended up having some crystals in his urine. So, Clavamox to make him all better. The vet was supposed to draw urine from him as well when she came out but luckily that did not have to happen. I drove the sample in at 8a.m (as soon as they opened) and got a call back just a while ago.......... TEDDY IS ALL BETTER!! No icky stuff in his urine AT ALL. Clean as a whistle  . One less kitty to worry about for now and they don't have to poke him to get a sample.
If you're in the path of this nastiness hitting the mid west right now, please be safe, stay warm and snuggle your babies :YMHUG: :YMHUG:
Sending prayers to all those who need them right now!

Woo hoo on the pee being clean for Teddy! I hope that those ingredients being taken out of the Bupe will help Tommy. You have a vet that will come to you to draw blood? Oh, I wish, I'm so jealous! Chyna gets so stressed going in for that.

Well, it looks like a nice sunny yellow now. Maybe a peek at blue, please Tommy? Have a good day, Lauren

Paws crossed the new bupe will bring Tommy back to pretty blues and greens again. My pharmacist also said my new bupe would be fine. Time will tell.

Good catch on the civie pee. My civie has idiopathic cystitis and I have to occasionally do the same but I think he's onto my tricks now. A low carb low phosphorus diet wet food diet with added water is what works for crystals too. That's the one thing my two cats agree on. Great news on TB's results! That is such a relief.

Good luck on the snow and vetty being able to visit. At least the pups enjoy the snow.

BRRR stay warm! no snow here but the high was only in the 30's. i think after our cold spell in december and now this, my fuschias that i tried to overwinter are completely dead. *sigh*

hope Tommy gets his act in gear soon! not being a cat, i think tuna-flavored bupe sounds repulsive . . . but maybe it's the whole "not being a cat" that's influencing me!

cheers on the clean urine! :-D it's the little things that count! ;-)

Hi guys,
Good to hear that Tommy's new Bupe will not mess too much with his bgs. And great news about TeddyBear. Stay warm and snug in your storm. We are waiting for it to arrive here, but the brunt of it is supposed to pass to our south.

Have a good evening. I hope the vet can make it to your house tomorrow.
