2/4 Sandy AMPS 168 ketone testing

I’ve been testing Sandy’s urine daily for ketones.
Pretty sure he’s been negative but tonight I’m not sure it looks like a color between negative and trace.
How can I help him if there’s a trace during the night?
Will be calling vet in the am when they open

Can you take a photo when you take the next ketone test please.
Make sure it is at the 15 seconds mark as it gets darker as time goes on.
Sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference between negative and trace.......I found the same thing.

Make sure he is eating ok. Add some water to the food to make it soupy if he’ll accept it that way and continue with the insulin.

I did I posted it on the FB page. Wont let me upload in here. And I think that’s what happened, it’s late here and no day light where I can tell for sure right away. Looked to be negative and then between negative and trace so I hope that’s what happened. The pictures I took were few seconds after I started to question it.
He is sleeping now but will try to get another test done when he pees again, hopefully tonight.
His next shot is due in 6 1/2 hours, his BG is 199 right now. I’m going to try and sleep for few hours but will leave food out for him and add water like you said. I’m in the room with him so I’ll probably be up few times anyway through the night

Redid test this morning and it’s negative!
