Coming down after a big bounce last night or possible fur shot I suppose. I wasn't aware if it was.

Seems to me, if I can get him into green regularly, he'll quit bouncing and may be able to move to a longer cycle.
Any thoughts or advice? Whatcha think?

I am wondering if he will just start having a +8 that is too low to shot, so gradually stretching out the cycle. Could be it'll be first to +10, though that will complicate things cause you can't divide 24 by 10 :mrgreen: You'd have to chase the shootable number for awhile, watching till he hits your target past +8 and then shooting.
Guess he'll let us know what he has in mind some cycle soon.

Yeah Sue, looks like he might be getting close, but I'll just have to keep reducing, at the moment, rather than extending his cycle until I'm out of class on 2/13.
After than, I'm going to make it a point to have at least 1 week between classes so I can keep a close eye on him. If I can go with a week on, week off, (classes are 4-8 days, 1-2 weeks) I'll have time to make adjustments to cycle length, even if they aren't exact. Setting a number TO shoot and if he's not there at +8 or +10, whatever, just hold off till he gets there.
Might be a little erratic, but I think he might be able to get back to the 12 hr cycles in time. Wonder if I can do it in 3 days time? Will have Fri,Sat,Sun over the weekend, 2/7-2/9.
I am so happy with the way he's coming down into good numbers, but not getting my hopes up, just taking my blessings where I can.

I know right!? Haven't seen those numbers since the 1st few months on Levemir. Wish he had continued to do well on it. But, I like what he's showing us. :thumbup

No BJ, no allergies that I'm aware of. He's always been healthy. Once he got a 'kitty sore throat' back in 2006 and that's it until FD 1/2013. Those were the only times he's ever been to the Vet for anything other than a check up and yearly shots.
Dropping below 100 sent his bounce in motion. He usually clears it fairly quit though, since he's been off Lantus. I also only gave 1.0 because I wasn't too sure what he was gonna do.
Almost done with homework, I'm beat. I-)

Look at Lucian go!! I think Autumn misses her buddy because she wants to follow him over here :roll: Waiting on her PZI now so we'll be seeing you in a few weeks. She's doing the same thing long stretch of great numbers..then bam riding the pink wave. Since they both did the Lantus to Levemir to PZI makes me wonder if with some long term sugarcats if they develop an allergic reaction to human rDNA? Once we get Autumn switched if she does as well as Lucian it might make an interesting topic for the Think Tank.

@ Mel. For whatever reason, seems some cats, like Lucian that didn't read the manual, need to try different insulin to find what works for them. (I'm just guessing here) There are so many, I'd say the vast majority, that do just fine on the 1st insulin they try, then there's Lucian. :roll: Hope Autumn takes well to it, she's just missing her 'bud'. ;-) She's so close and trying so hard to go OTJ, maybe this is the 'kick' she needs. I don't expect Lucian to do that, but if I can keep him below 250, I'm good with that.
I'm just hoping that PZI is his last stop, not much else to try at this point.
