Good morning, friends! I hope your kitties are surfing safely, and that you have a delightful and uneventful Wednesday.

I could almost suspect Gen of deliberately trying to drive me nuts at this point. This morning he would barely touch a tiny bit of his food, but he did the same thing last night, and then over the course of the night ate every bite of it. He ate most of his AM food too, also quite gradually. Eating gradually through the day is great! Not showing a lot of enthusiasm about the food he's been crying for while I prepped it, not so much, especially when I have to leave for the day and have no way of being sure what he'll do. Today, I'm working from home, so there's that at least.

He also managed to spit out his morning pill capsule (containing ondansetron and gabapentin) right at my feet after swallowing a syringe full of water (which I was giving him to wash it down), the cheeky little bugger. (I put it right back in his mouth and massaged his throat until he swallowed more than once, then watched him for a few minutes to make sure. Sigh.)

So ... we'll see how things go from here, I guess.

He is eating! 😌 Only now, he's acting exactly the same way about it when I put out his food, as the times when he didn't eat. (A couple of nibbles, max.) Eating slowly through the day is great, but now I can't tell if that's what's going to happen, or if I'm going to start getting hypo alarms (either at work, or in the middle of the night, depending on the mealtime). Which is a little stressful!

He is, again, lucky he's so stinkin' cute.

This always happens when Karamelle doesnt eat for a period of time and her numbers are headed down. I think the lower numbers make her less hungry, then she goes hypo because she doesnt eat. I just hate seeing that low number right before bed, which means I have to get up and test her in the middle of the night. When she was going hypo a lot recently before I discovered it was the low B12, I would sometimes just give her HC food at bedtime, so she wouldnt go hypo.
