2/4 Buddy AMPS 198 - time for a new bottle of insulin

Buddy's numbers have started to climb a bit. He's been a little constipated, which may have been why his numbers were up yesterday but I think he went overnight - hard to know 100% because we have two cats.

He is due to start a new bottle of insulin. Could the number spike be due to the end of the old bottle? I think there's maybe one or two more "servings" that I can get out of the old bottle but is it maybe better just switch to the new one?

Has anyone found any issues with an old bottle vs a new bottle?

How old is it? My bottles lasted about 5-6 months but pens to the last drop.

Got it mid-October, so not too old and we keep it refrigerated. He is on a higher dose, so it got used up faster.
