Good Morning, Everyone, are the smilies working yet? Nope, do not seem to be, at least not on my Mac. The formatting buttons (ital. type size, etc.) aren't working, either (apparently they work for Roberta; see the discussion in the TECH forum). anyone else still missing these features?

Anyway, Rusty had a good night, but apparently scarfed and barfed some of his nighttime food around 4 A.M. I got up at 3:30 to order a Verizon i-phone at the super-discount price for current customers. The clock was set for 3 AM, but I didn't hear it; Rusty did, and so did DH, and both of them got me up, Rusty by licking my closed eye!! Anyway, I ordered the phone (very exciting). At 3:30 most of the nighttime food was still uneaten, but after I got btb, Rusty got up and ate, so I figure the vomit was right after eating. He is fine this morning and has eaten breakfast, visited the lb, and played with Big Bug and Red Ears.

We got a lot of snow yesterday, but were lucky to avoid the ice that so many places have. That is so scary to be without power and heat in winter. There was a huge ice storm here in 1998 (we didn't live here then) and power was out for over 2 weeks!

I hope everyone is warm and safe this morning. Sending lots of positive thoughts for Rocket and the other kitties who are not feeling well.

Morning Rusty and Ella...going out to make snow angels? Or igloos? Come on....you always have some outdoor thing planned. Glad your boys woke you up in the wee hours...congratulations on ordering that phone. You sound excited! Enjoy!!

our snow storm turned out not to be much of a storm at all, only about 7 inches fell. It's very cold though.

Hope you and the gang stay safe and warm.

Good Morning Ella. I don't have the smilies, nor the formatting buttons either. I checked my board preferences, but there's nothing there to change.
Yuck on the scarf and barf, but glad Rusty's feeling well today.
Glad you didn't get the ice. We got less snow than was predicted, but horrific winds, and drifting snow.
Today, all is calm and sunny.
Like Pat said, no winter fun for you today?

Ha Ha!! The winter fun is scheduled for tomorrow: a 10-mile ski along the Oswegatchie River near Cranberry Lake in the Western Adirondacks. Should be fantastic with all this snow. I'll be taking my wider back-country skis.

I am in the same boat as you Ella - no smilies or formatting buttons, and my preferences etc all seem ok. so.... wish I knew - I rely on/like those features. And we seem to be missing some of the post icons too. Hopefully it will be fixed soon??

Sweet on the iPhone - YAY! I so need to upgrade my cell - it is archaic... and limited, and really a piece of junk.... :(

YES! on tomorrow's ski. I really need to learn this XCountry ski stuff - what fun, how nice. *jealous icon*

I remember that ice storm from 1998 - it was such a big thing here on our local news - every day they had a feature on it. I can't imagine being without power and heat for that amount of time.

Congrats on the iphone!!! I love mine. I'm not really geeky with it though - but its so handy when I need the web or work email when I am away from home. I used to be trapped at home (my office) when I had to wait for an email. Canadian networks bite compared to your guys though. My functionality is limited to wifi at home.

Sorry about the scarf and barf. Rusty is still looking good :)

Ditto on the jealous icon, both for the XC and the iPhone. Superdiscounted price? Got to talk to DH, my birthday I'd next week.
OK, I can get formatting if I get the bb code right. Smilies no, on the iPod but everything works on the Mac.

What about Rusty?! I did not expect a 56 at +5.5. And I have to take my car back to the shop in 1/2 hour so will be out for a while (DH will be here, but he can't test). Rusty had some lunch (Wellness Turkey) and I will test him again in a few minutes. I'm thinking maybe the fat 0.5 is too fat? Let's see what happens this afternoon.

P.s. to Ann: Are you on Verizon Wireless? They have just acquired an i-phone contract with Apple and the super price is for present Verizon Wireless customers. Check out their website.

Nice on the 56! WOW - and way to go Rusty!! Be good though- your bean has to leave for a bit...

ERRR on the smilies - there is an update in the tech forum on the condo started yesterday by Kathy. Worked to the webmaster, now it doesn't, did again, now it doesn't..... who knows! but she is looking into it.... at least the post icon are back..... progress?

I will have to look into that iphone thing with verizon, as I am with them too. will check that out. i need a new phone!

68 at +6.5 and I'm out the door to go to the auto mechanic. I hope he will surf now. (Rusty, not the mechanic!) I'm glad the smilies issue is being addressed! (not working yet!)

Decided to slightly unfatten his dose this evening to try for a more shallow curve. Gave a slightly skinny fat 0.5 I won't be home tomorrow and don't want him dropping too far. Not sure if this was the right thing to do, however!

Your skinny fat dose sounds like a good plan to me since you won't be home. You are just amazing! A 10-mile ski? I could never do that. :-D But have fun and stay warm.
