Since I started the ALOH, might be coincidence idk, but im noticing hes having little coughs and a dry throat.. ohh noo. I didnt let it sit the full 15 min or more a few times, to see if he would or could eat it .. and hear a lot of ppl dont, but i realized later i should have started properly and so started to wait/plan the time to let it sit.. and now im noticing little coughs.. Maybe i put too much a few times.. oh dear. :(

Maybe i should take it easy w the binder today?.. but he needs help w his phosphorus….. ugh. :(

did ok overnight.. we are cold over here. but i got him a nice heated spot to sit on, and a blanket..

Sending good poop vines to Pudge 🍀🍃🍀🍃🍀🍃💩💩💩

I never waited when I used the ALOH (but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t).

I would be consistent with it since he needs it (just my opinion).
Hoping he feels better as the meds kick in ❤️‍🩹
Stay warm, Sending you both hugs 🫶🥰😻🌊🏄‍♂️💕

he really doesnt feel well today.. i honestly dont know how much longer to hang on. 🥺💘 doctor said an enema would just dehydrate him more..

he does need it. maybe will use 1/8 today only.. was advised to do it gradually cause hes struggling w constipation.. sigh. told to use the whole tsp.. was advised to most certainly do 1/2 tsp at most.. idk.

i hope so too.. but hopelessness and fatigue are setting in. :( idk.

My brain isn't functioning at a helpful level for offering thoughts, but hugs and good wishes to you and snuggles to Pudge. ❤️

Sadly Gen and I have had a rough couple of days, with loss of appetite even though I'm giving him meds for that. I haven't had enough sleep (I stayed up trying to keep feeding him/prevent hypo), which is why my brain is so foggy. (Yes, it's really frustrating. I live in a 100-year-old apartment building where the units don't have individual thermostats, which means I can't do anything about it when the heat goes wonky, which it reliably does several times every winter. All I can do is open windows, which has limited efficacy and is also so bad for the environment! I also have an unresponsive, excuse-making building manager who won't explain the issues or even respond to me half the time. And I'm unusually heat sensitive! Fortunately there's been an improvement this week--he says someone "replaced a part"--but it's hard to know how long it will last.)

I don't think I have nearly enough grasp of what Pudge is going through to make any kind of assessment, but I think quality of life above all is probably the most important thing - for both of you, really. Hugs hugs hugs.

ugh.... poor man. have you asked your nice vet maybe on it?.. what she said? 💘🙃

landlord jerking u around w the heat you say? 😇 get you a lawyer. find a lawyer. call the city. they offer free consultations; call a bunch and see what they say.. tell them you're suffering physically. its winter. I imagine heat is a necessity with snow and freezing conditions; by law they have to provide it. who can sit in 80 degrees? yuck!

he's doing a little better tonite.. but it's been back and forth. still has trouble walking.. and the binder thickens the food!! and I add enough water...... smh. he got some fluids! tho surely not enough..... (as I called the ER to get some advice on fluids cause I can provide them but still a little wary reading the bag.. the 9 marker is weird cause its the bottom.. and they wouldn't tell me. referred me to the primary. 🤡.....)

My nice vet was in surgery all day and hasn't gotten back to me yet. 😢 That's the trouble with having such a good one ... she's in constant demand!

Unfortunately it is super complicated because of the way the building is set up; it's not a matter of siccing a lawyer or the city on a single owner (apartments are individually owned, there's a condo association but as a renter I have no access to it and my actual landlord isn't even in touch with us, everything goes through the building manager, the heating system is for the whole building so it's technically co-owned by all the condo owners, it's a mess) and the time/energy/probably money it would take for me to get into it on a legal level is not likely to be worth it. (And yeah, the temperature literally violates the state health code. 78 is the max allowed for winter heat; I looked it up.) Buuut I did tell the building manager that I was going to look into legal remedies or withholding rent last week, and I guess that set a fire under his ass, because he says they just installed a "replacement part" that should fix the problem. (Except last time, the problem was that some guy put a battery into a sensor wrong. And last year, the boiler needed to be replaced, apparently. There are so many reasons I get told for the same exact recurring problem, and at this point I just don't believe most of what that dude tells me.) The temp in here is down to 76, which is still warmer than I want and I have to have the window open to sleep, but it's some improvement.

Oh my god, that is way too much text. 😅 Sorry. It's a stupid situation, but the location is the best I could ask for for getting to my current job, and I'm not going to find a better price right now. If I can get a job that pays better (and hopefully lets me work remote) in the future I can finally shell out for a studio apartment across the river where I actually want to live! And have my own damn thermostat.

Aww, poor buddy. Wait, the ER wouldn't give you advice on how to give the fluids?? That's weird and unnecessarily obstructive, jeez.
