upped to 2 units..here we go again. Have a little over 1/2 vial left. And we need another insulin. 6+ months is getting old here..hands up in the air.
note to self. do not leave the princess cat bed underneath the kitchen table..Mickey thought it was a litter box today...formed poops. but cannnot get it in one of seven liter boxes yet..are we being defiant? Illness? He never did this in his 7 yrs. Have fortiflora going now since the 26th of Jan.

Good luck at the new dose! You are probably right about something being up with the strange potty behavior. In my experience the only do this to let you know something is up....whether it's health or emotional. Whatever it is, good luck figuring it out.....it never is simple.

At least it's not diarrhea, right? Are you thinking of switching insulins after this vial if there's no improvement? Have you talked to your vet about it? Maybe 2u will be the dose for Mickey. You both deserve a break!

I had a guy (cat, that is) who used to mark any cat bed I would bring home (I was a slow learner I guess, cuz I kept buying new ones!). I didn't think they really looked all that much like litter boxes (eyeroll - is it just me or are the smiley's broken now?) but I guess you have to think like a cat to know. He did the same with cardboard boxes, everyone's favorite toy until he got to it (bigger eyeroll).

I'd look at what is different between the princess box and the other litterboxes. Covered vs. not covered. Larger vs. smaller. Smooth surface vs. grainy litter. Even the location may be the issue. You could try putting a litter box where the princess box was to see if he uses it.
