Morning Kitties and Beans,
here's some :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee:, I know it will be welcome for those that have had a PJ party.

George's numbers were still soaring this morning, he hasn't seen this much red since his diagnosis in sept 2015. I hate that colour on his SS now as much as I did then.
Hopefully the 0.75u will start to move those numbers down, and I hope that once the steroids are out of his system in the next 3-6 days (It's been 4 days since the long acting steroid shot), we'll see further improvement.
WCR
Peeing OK
Poop mixed
His been grooming himself
He's cuddly and purry
Not been playing, but he was chasing the civies of his sofa last night (this is normal behaviour for him.

Surf safely kitties
and have a good Sunday Beans.

Oh Gill it’s lovely to see you but I am sorry to see George is back on the juice. I hope it is a very short stay and he is OTJ very soon.
Sending many ‘soon OTJ vines’ to George.

Thanks Bron, I hope so too. At least he's feeling better, I'm just irritated that it took a shot of steroids.

Good Morning Gill, Fingers and paws crossed that it won't take too long for George to escape the steroids and work those numbers back down. Happy day to you :)

Come on George, bring those numbers down! Glad you are feeling well though.

Glad you increased Gill and hopefully the steroid will start to wane and the insulin will kick in. :bighug:

To answer your question from yesterday....On 10/9/18 he was at 407 at PMPS. The vet said the shot would wear off the next day. I decided as high as he was at PMPS he could have a pokey break. I was totally shocked when I checked him at AMPS and he was at 78!!! I expected the steroid to wear of much more gradually. If I had known it would wear off that quickly I would have checked him during the night.

Jeez that was quick, looks like the steroid he had was a 24 hr duration, but I'd be very happy to see that sort of change in BFG, though with it being a long acting one I wonder if it will be a slower change. None the less I will be on high alert as from Wednesday!!

Thanks for the info

PMPS 425 ate his dinner, gave 0.75u, he is not liking getting stuck with the insulin, has a bit of a hissy fit, weird, he never had a problem first time round.
G
Still no movement in BG.

Tomorrow morning I'll shoot at 5.30, so I will be able to get a +2 before we head out (assuming we feel it's reasonably safe to do so) and leave BFG home alone with Auto

Hi Gill and hi to you, too, Deputy George!
I haven't been on the board for a few days (our Winter Carnival is in full swing), so I am just now seeing your posts. Bummer on being back on the juice! I hope that the steroid will wear off soon and that it will have cured whatever caused the fluid build-up. It's good to see that George is feeling better. Now, let's hope that his numbers will begin to fall and that he'll be OTJ again soon.
Hang in there! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

OT: we have adopted "Gus", a 10-year old civvie. He acts like a kitten!
