Happy thursday, everyone!

i had some doubts about whether or not i got his dose right last night and this morning...these new BD syringes are quite different from the good neighbor and others i have used. as far as i can figure, the variance may have been 2 drops...i also think last night was a partial or complete furshot...
they shipped the short needles, and i do better with the 1/2 inch.

will be doing the colored water/measuring drops training session before his pm shot, and keeping a close eye on him with his falling numbers today.
need to run down and check on my mom regularly this am...so will be visiting condos later in the day.

hope everyone is having a good start to their day!

yesterday:

amps 128
+3 76
+4 74
+5 104
+10 150
pmps 166
+2 192
+4 275

Re: 2/3 Binks amps 256 +3 99

Celi I think the variance is ever single stupid syringe when it comes with BD. Sorry but I'm calling around for alternative needles today. But doubt I'll find any in half unit up in Canada.

Pay particular attention to the plunger and where it stops. A lot of them go below the zero line which can mean a lot of extra drops. I didn't know this until I read the extra links on micro dosing.

BD one's were the only syringes I could find with 1/5 unit markings in Toronto so we might be out of luck there.

Good luck managing the micro dosing

Sorry you're having so much trouble with the BD syringes. I don't think I've ever used them. I have Walgreens half unit markings and for half unit doses they work great. Have you tried Walmart's? Here at Walmart one doesn't need a prescription for them, but most other drugstores require them here in CA. Oh I see his +3 - quite a drop. Binkster is full of surprises. Have a nice day.

Re: 2/3 Binks amps 256 +3 99

Nice +3 for the Binkster. I had a lot of trouble w/ the BD and couldn't wait until I could get more Monoject from Hocks.

thanks for the input, guys! i love the feel of the BD syringes, but need to get a better handle on the amount...
hated both walgreens and walmart relion syringes, but all of this hasnt hurt the boy's numbers...

am cycle:

amps 256
+3 99
+4 84
+5 80
+7 89
+ 10 86

i've got my hands full here with my mom...and my &%$@# nephew dumped the puppy and a kitten at her place, so doubt that i will get to any condos tonight...trying to deal with 6 cats, 2 dogs, and a lady who's feeling absolutely miserable.

keeping a close eye on binksy...but may not be updating his SS tonight.

hope everyone is having a good evening...

Celi, You really have your hands full!! I have been using BD syringes since Moonie was dx'd and they do feel well shooting & handling--
But they do have a variance and BD does a poor job sometimes with the printing--There are about 4 drops in a half unit, so that's how you can measure..
If anything is wrong, you can contact BD & they will give you a coupon for a free box..
Binksy is doing great these days! Hugs!!!

Late here, so I'll just add my 2 cents on syringes: I like the Monojects from Hocks. Flat plunger, good markings,

Binks looks great. Hope all is well with your mom,

Ella

Binks is looking good. Glad he enjoyed his outing the other day. Hope your Mom is okay soon. You really needed more pets. Bless you.

and it is affirmative - great day for Binks. Sorry for all the additional critters - good luck.

I used to use BD, now switched to monojet - like them alot, and they are cheaper than BD. more consistent markings, minimal bubbles, nice.

i hope you had a decent day Celi.
