Good morning and happy leap day LL!

After some very nice greens last night, we are back up into pink this morning. Mr. L will not be forgotten! Tarragon was cuddly last night, with lots of purrs and headbutts. It is amazing how good he feels these days. I have stuck to my resolution and don't freak out by the higher numbers when he is obviously feeling great. The prednisone for his asthma will always keep his numbers a little whacky, but he was cough free yesterday for the first time in a week or so. We have upped his prednisone to every day to get him through the spring allergy season and it seems to be helping. We will just have to adjust the insulin accordingly.

All of the trees and flowers are budding/blooming already, about 2 months early. We had a tornado watch last night. I guess spring is here.

Hope you all have a great Wednesday!

I hope he clears this bounce quickly. Good plan to treat the asthma as needed and adjust his insulin. Keep the sweet boy feeling good and purry.

Re: 2/29 Tarragon AMPS 346

Hi Melissa, glad that the pred is helping Tarragon's cough. It is as they say, the drug we hate to love, or something or other. I was thinking of you when I was watching the weather channel. I notice Mags is more playful with high numbers, too. How are Mason's fingers healing?
Have a nice day, Melissa.

Prednisone is definitely that! I know when I have taken it for my asthma and RA it is a godsend, but it is hard on you to take long term.

Mason's fingers are about the same. His GF helped him change the bandages last night and they were real painful all night. They must have put the wraps back on too tight. It will take a long time. He goes back to the surgeon a week from Friday but will be in splints for about 8 weeks and then physical therapy. He is very lucky that he didn't lose them and is grateful for that.

Re: 2/29 Tarragon AMPS 346

How horrible for Jason. That has to be so painful and then attend school and homework. That he is lucky as it could have been worse. Sending him some healing vines and so nice he has his GF to help.

Hi guys .. sorry to see pink this morning, but I think you are right .. we have to be thankful for things like green numbers when they do come, how good our kitties feel, and the fact that tarragon hasn't coughed all week! I bet coughing bothers him more then a pink number, right? I hope that Masons fingers are feeling a little better each day .. have a great day guys!

Re: 2/29 Tarragon AMPS 346

Yep - spring is here! We missed the strong storms by a few miles - they built just north of us headed your way so was thinkin' of you all night.

Mr T - uz luk silly 'n pink....try Weezer's crown instead, she's about to wear the blue sapphire necklace instead!

BIG Hugs Michelle - hope your sneezy nose gets better....but doubt we're going to have any pollen relief this year. Even Snowshoe had to start his pred. yesterday to stop his cough.

Re: 2/29 Tarragon AMPS 346

What a nice WCR, despite the bounce. T is sounding so happy and healthy!

Poor Mason - first the stones, now this! It sounds like it's going to be a long haul, but yes - he's fortunate to have not lost them!

Have a great afternoon!!!

Re: 2/29 Tarragon AMPS 346

It's really ajuggling act to deal w/ two diseases at once, but you are a pro at it. Having a happy purring cat is the reward! :thumbup :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Re: 2/29 Tarragon AMPS 346

Hi Melissa. Yes, it is a juggling act and you are right, increasing the insulin when needed is all you can do. Glad Tarragon is feeling good and i am sending good thoughts and many healing vines to your son.

Poor Mason, he has been through the wringer lately. I hope his fingers heal quickly. It is great to hear that Tarragon feels good and is all lovey. Like Zener said, more petting and less worry. :-D :-D

Hi Melissa and T.
I like your New Year's Resolution. The best thing is a happy cat and numbers that are reasonable. Sorry to hear that it is allergy season already.
Poor Mason! We're sending him some healing vines to wrap around his fingers.

Have a fine evening. see you tomorrow. stay safe from those storms!
