Trix is off to a great start today! She does really like this dose, at least for now...it's giving her nice, safe healthy surfs.
Tomorrow is her vetty check up. I don't expect anything major to come of it, but I'm really not looking forward to it. When my GA civvie Mario developed HyperT and high BP, we spent so much time going to the vet for tests and checks, and last year any time I went to the vet for one thing with any of the other civvies, I was hit with a surprise about something completely unrelated to the reason we were there to begin with. So, I'm feeling a little gunshy, even though Trix is being her normal Trixie self. I admit, I procrastinated this visit for a bit, but her script is about to run out, so I can procrastinate no more...plus it's probably best to get it in before we get buried again under the next storm that is due to hit over the weekend.
Frankie's Daily Calming Treat Report: Last night was a FAIL. Ugh. I can't say I'm terribly surprised. We'll keep going with the treats, because we have them and I don't want to waste them, but I doubt it will make a difference. We were using Feliway for a while, and it didn't seem to be helping, but now I'm wondering if it did help at least a little bit...we are in such a rough phase with her right now that doesn't seem to be ending. With the Feliway, it did seem like we did have some small breaks from her nighttime separation anxiety issues. She is just such a night owl anymore...instantly becomes wide awake as soon as we try to head to bed....
I'm off today...it's one of those days where a handy-dandy FD crystal ball would have been useful, so I could have known if it was safe for me to sleep and sleep and sleep rather than getting up to test Trix. But now that I'm up, I'm up. (Yes, Kim...more construction today! I'll be applying the second layer of spackle to my freshly-sanded drywall joints.)
Sending prayers out to Nancy as she mourns the passing of her sunshine, Pepper, and healing vines going out to Cinco, Mitzi, Dyana, and everyone who needs them. Have a great day, LL!
