I slept in a bit this morning, so I did not have time to attempt the pepcid again. I will try tonight & see how things go! Last night, Morris ate 1/2 can Friskies & 1/4 can EVO which means about 140 calories. The vet we saw initially thinks Morris should be eating a minimum of 270 calories per day, so if he eats the same amount during the day today that will be a good thing! Looks like the mirtz is working! As the appetite piece seems to have been his biggest symptom through this flare, I think I will wean him off the other meds first & leave the mirtz to being the last thing. I will give him his bupe again tonight & tomorrow morning (that will be the end of the 14 days) and then I will see how he does without it. I will continue with his SQ fluids for another few days & then wean him off of those & see how he is. Then I will give him another dose or 2 of the mirtz this week & hopefully everything will be going smoothly & I will be able to wean him off of that as well!
