Ooh this is a late post, usually I'm much better. Going to call it an early night too. DH said he would try to test Kit on his own before bed...wow! He used to try all the time, but then a couple of times he had to poke twice to get a good drop and it made me nervous. Since then, he always says, "you do it so much better". Even though it was a good number of days recently I was trying even four times before getting a good drop. I dont push him...I know his heart is in the right place. We've gone back to seriously warming Kit's ear before poking, and now getting a good drop each and every time. So I think this was the push that the DH needed. I told him not to stress if it doesn't work out.

Higher than "normal" AMPS. By normal, I mean what I've been getting recently. This could either be a bounce from yesterdays 52, b/c usually he was bouncing into the blues the last couple of weeks, and now it's just a high green. Or I'm really off trying to measure 0.75 - I can't wait until he's back to a 1/2 unit. We'll see where he is tomorrow.

Hope you all had a great day!

lol So did you think when you first started testing that you would be complaining about a high GREEN number...

But I know what you mean about having to eye-ball those inbetween the marks doses. The easiest way I have found so far to do those is to line up the top of the plunger with the bottom of the line on the next higher dose. So if I'm eye-balling .75u I line the top of the plunger to the bottom of the line for 1u. That's about the only way I can get any kind of consistancy.

Hmmm...I kinda like that idea! Too bad Kit earned himself a dose reduction today! Came home to a 45! Eek! I stuck his face in his half full bowl and order, "eat, EAT NOW!" lol.

About the high green numbers...I can't even believe it myself!!! I was talking to the DH this morning, saying, "remember when we used to test in the morning and say, wow, red! that's not good" now we're saying, "wow, high green! that's not good" Amazing how far we've come, and how much I've changed over the past couple months. Crazy.....
