Good morning everyone,

Bear has been doing better the last few days energy wise, seems to be a bit more peppy since the .25 increase at least. Definitely seems like he will need another increase in the next few days. Pretty sure I gave a FS yesterday morning so that puts us back a little bit.

I bought him a Tiki Cat variety pack for food since I thought all Tiki Cat was alright for them. Can anyone confirm that? Here's the pack for reference. https://www.petsmart.com/featured-b...ck-24ct-63287.html?cgid=500410&fmethod=Browse

Meredith are these the flavors ? Or are there more in the 24 pack?
12 servings are Tiki Cat Aloha Friends Recipes, which feature wild-caught ahi tuna and pumpkin, and 12 servings are Tiki Cat Grill, indulgent seafood and fish recipes.

Show me a pic of the cans ,there are so of the grill indulgent seafood flavors

Hey Diane,

Let me look at the flavors when I have a break in between meetings. I just tested Bear and he was at 93, his first green in 2 weeks!!

And it looks like the nutrition facts for each flavor can be found here on their website: https://tikipets.com/product/tiki-c...food-selects/product/tiki-cat/grill/ahi-tuna/

I used the calculator that @Angela & Cleo provided and it looks like they are okay, but I don't know that all flavors were on there. All of the Tiki cat flavors on that list are 0 carb though which makes me feel good! I was pretty sure they were but wanted to double check.

They are all low carbs one thing though

Here is a post that one of our members said about feeding fish flavors only and other members have said the same thing

We recommend limiting fish flavors to once or twice a week due to several reasons. One is due to the heavy metal contamination found in a lot of fish these days, mercury being just one of them. Also, fish flavors are higher in phosphorus because a lot of bones end up ground up into cat food and bones are high in minerals. High phosphorus is harder on the kidneys. The last reason is because it can become "addictive" where the cat won't eat anything else. Fish isn't really supposed to be a normal part of any cat's diet. Few feline species include fish as a food source at all (although a few wild cats might snag a fish out of a river or pond now and then but more because it's something that's moving and triggers the hunting instinct than for actual food value)
