Yesterday's Condo

Good morning, everyone.

Basil still is very interested in food today. Poor baby. He really is too chubby and needs to cut back a little more. I think he suspects I am planning something along those lines (and I am, for him and his sister) because he is giving me that look. Last night he found that the catnip banana is even more fun when combined with a cardboard box.

Yesterday's recap:
AMBG = 119
+1:40 = 126
+2:40 = 88
PMBG = 107
PM+9 = 115
AMBG = 94 (today)

So, as everyone says, he brings himself down with food and I am not going to worry about it for the next few days. We'll all be fine even if he has to go back onto insulin for a bit.

Off shortly for a long drive to pick up a rescue Italian Greyhound we are planning to adopt. She is 10 years old and likes cats. Somehow, I expect Basil will not be returning the love.

Have a great day, everyone and I'll check in when we get back much later this afternoon. Sonbean will be here attending to Basil's every need.

And whit time is that party tonight? Will there be howling at the moon? Basil wants to know.

Good morning, Lydia & Basil! Happy Day 11 :thumbup

Such a wonderful attitude -- you are absolutely right -- if you go back on Insulin at some point in the future -- it is what it is, but accepting that totally alleviates the stress & gives a newfound sense of peace -- I have come to the same place with Baby -- it will happen in Gods time & I am here for her the duration.

Good Luck on the Diet :lol: & adoption :YMHUG:

Nice number this morning Basil.....guess what Mommy is bringing home for you...... :o
That really is great that you are adopting that doggie. They are quiet shy I think. I am worried for the dog actually...what will it think of Basil in his new suit? Might like cats but I doubt it has ever seen a cat quite like Basil in his duds!!
Wishing you well with this new chapter. I had 2 friends who had adopted a greyhound....they had to teach the dogs how to go up and down stairs....sweet dogs...guess they have lived their lives in cages up till they get adopted. So great that you are doing that!!! Can't wait to hear all about it.

Basil can come over any time....party starts as soon as the first kitty arrives...and of course there will be howling!!! The Full Moon fll_moon Party is where they all get into that. Howling in unison. It's really an amazing thing to witness. And then they go into their ancient ritualistic Moon dancing....it is quite breathtaking. They all know the steps as if by instinct but it really is so much fun for them...can't wait till it begins....tell Basil to hurry over!!!

Re: 2/28 Basil OTJ Trial Day 11 AMBG=94

it sounds like you have an exciting day planned, a new rescue dog, yay!!!!

Basil is looking good. :smile:

Well, how's that for a nice PMBG? Good boy, Basil.

And how nice to come here after a LOONNGG tiring day and see replies from Basil's friends!

We picked up Zina, the Rescue Dog. Pat, she is an Italian Greyhound, which is a separate breed that looks like a grey but MUCH smaller. Zina weighs maybe 10 pounds. We have another rescue Italian Greyhound, Emmett, and he is on the large end of the IG spectrum at about 17 pounds. Zina is settling in well. So far, Basil has been eying her and saying, "Keep your distance! When I'M ready, I'LL let you near me. Maybe. Anyway, he had a nice day, eating well, up and about and looking good.

Basil has on his new suit and will be dancing into the party any minute!
