2/28 Bailey AMPS - 124

Bailey was at 124 this morning so no dose was given. I expect her PM level will be around 250 or so. But then again, every guess I make has been wildly inaccurate.

She has completely switched over to Fancy Feast Classic now and seems to like it. No solid BM yet, but the change in diet probably isn't helping anything either.

In regards to remission, what are some signs to be looking for? I know that's the goal, but I know nothing about it.

I can't help you, I'm a newbee battling a cat that won't eat this morning, but I'm sure someone will be around later. If not, you could ask on the Health board.

I'd love to see an AMPS like that! But right now, I just want mine to eat.

As far as remission goes you are looking for her to stay between 40-120 without insulin for 14 days with most of those numbers being in the double digits. If you want to see what a cat in remission's spread sheet looks like see Maxwell's in my signature, he has been in remission now for over 2 years but I still have his 'early' days on the spread sheet.

If she is back up again tonight you may have to look into microdosing...this isn't as tough as it sounds but it does take practice. Basically you need to take a used syringe and some colored water, and try to slowly screw up the plunger while the needle is facing up, to get a small drop of water about the size of pin head, flick that off, screw up another drop the same size, flick that off...keep working at it until you can consistantly get 4-5 drops out of .5u.
