After a run of greens, Zener had a sunny yellow sunrise, and a awe-inspiring Gabby style drop @+2! :shock:

Pulled out the karo for a drop at +2 with that 100 point drop! He didn't stay at yellow very long. More tests to follow. Both kitties are curled up on their condo under the heating vent.

We have winter weather on the way later today with winds and 4-8" in the forecast. The wind has already arrived and the clouds are starting to gather.

Hi guys .. my my zener! Aren't we making quite the statement this morning! I hope theres a nice long surf in his future .. and I hope the winter weather doesn't get to out of control for you .. have a great day guys!

I hope that karo puts him surfing mode. He's taken up residency in these lower numbers. It may take some getting used to by the beans! :-D

His appy has not been great this morning, so I didn't test @+4 since he took quite a long time to eat his +3 fuds. Big surprise @+5 :o

@Devon - Zener has several things to say this cycle, don't want no stinkin' yellow or blue. :mrgreen:

@LInda - the karo slowed him down but another big drop at +5, so we pulled out the treats to see if we can get him surfing the greens. Beans definitely need some low number desensitization training! :lol:

Zener is resting comfortably on the bed, took a big bath and now is snoozing. Handing over to Liz shortly, then we both have to be at school this afternoon. cat_pet_icon

Wow, look at Zener today! I always have to stop and think that you guys are now using the human meter! That's great your Vet's office uses the human meter. Slow down Zener. We're expecting a storm, too. :-D

We did a trial of freeze dried chicken in the auto feeder around +9-10 and he ate it! Zener is getting this feeder sorted out. :-D
Now, the beans need something like remedial liver training school to help us quite freaking over the low numbers! :lol: :lol: :lol:

@ Melissa & Mr T - he surfed the greens, we were a wreck about leaving this afternoon, but he did fine. No snow yet, but it's on the way.

@Ann & Maggie - the human meter we are using is a lot easier than the ATrak and cheaper, we are grateful that is what our new vet office uses. Zener (full of karo and treats) slowed the drop! Our storm is coming in later than predicted, so time will tell what we get...

@ Roni - thanks for your kind words, his numbers are looking great. Now, we have to get used to these sorts of numbers and not panic!

Those are some pretty nice numbers for Zener. Trying to figure out how to maintain the surf and not overkill with carbs or underkill is the trick. And then, when you think you have it figured out, they surprise you. So, for today, very nice numbers! :smile:

Would you look at Zeners SS! Amazing....you all are doing awesome.

Hope you have a big coffee pot! At least with two of you, you can do shifts. That's what we do so each of us can sleep for two hours at a time.

We front loaded Zener's cycle with some HC because not much of a food spike at +1 and we are trying to hang on to this dose as long as we can! Looks like we had a weeble wobble up and down early, so @+3 just straight forward 8%. Just a small drop @+4 so again straight 8%. I'll get another test before bedtime and paws crossed things are steady so I can get some sleep tonight! @-)

@Marje - thanks for your kind words. We still feel like we are stumbling around most of the time. :lol: Yes, thank goodness we can do shifts. Liz is a much better morning person and I do better at night, though I can't make it much past 1am if it's a work/school day the next day. I can do one but it's really tough to put a string together. Hope you get some good rest tonight and we are not having an Arizona PJ party!
