Morning vomit check: None.
Morning food check: Ate it all!
Morning ketone check: lo.

Very good morning.

Decided to try cutting his meals with FF Gravy to see if he'd eat that. Tried the chicken recipe first and he wasn't interested. I was just about to blend it up and go to the syringe and said, you know what, let me try the kind I know he's eaten. So I did 1/2 can of the ocean whitefish mixed with wellness core and that did the trick. Put out 1/2 can of that FF with 3/8 can WC for dinner, and the other 1/2 can with 1/4 can WC for late night meal and he ate it all own his own. So no vomit and ate all his food. Really hoping to see some weight gain now, with that as his meals he's getting just shy of 400kcal/day.

Not expecting any big surprises today. Sticking to his meds, meals, and 5u. Going to drop to one blood ketone check a day unless something changes.

D'oh, as I was preparing breakfast he threw up some undigested food.

And I don't know what the deal is but I have not been able to get blood out of him for some of these tests.

All my cats get sick from food with gravy, shredded, minced. Even Olive, it's why I can't use it for hc. I always had this thing about giving fish cat food. Maybe you need to transition in even smaller amounts of new food over longer period of time.

Oh just thought of something. With Smokey because he had always had a vomiting issue his entire life, the last 2 years before I took him in, he wasn't even fed daily so it got worse. I had to feed small amounts hourly for a long time, then gradually increase amounts and time between. Ended up he could not go more than 2 hrs without food or he would vomit. Auto feeder made it easier to feed every 2 hrs around the clock.

How's Sebastian doing after his shot?
I hope he's been eating and keeping it down?
Are you still getting blood from the paw?

Sorry for the lack of updates, for some reason I wasn't getting emailed about responses today.

Sebastian has been okay today. He hasn't thrown up since like 45 minutes before breakfast and ate pretty well today. I am still doing blood from the paw, tomorrow I need to start working on the ear. I didn't really do any tests today, we both needed a break. He was pretty lethargic today. I did check him right before dinner just to make sure and he was at 214. I'll get back on schedule with tests tomorrow.
