hi all,
we saw blue last night finally!....his appetite off/on still...he has not lost weight though...doesn't seem to be retaining fluid either...breathing is normal when asleep...i keep a close eye on that cause i know the pred can bring about more problems...

AMPS 205
+4.75 140.....blue again! and we are still at 1.75u

he is on the balcony right now....been meowing to DH to be let out and DH says "not until mommy lets you out"...so he quietly sits there patiently until i let him out....it was funny....giving DH attitude...but i'm afraid it will be short lived for his stay outside....in about 1 hr we head out to take Comet to the vet....his check up was due back in Dec but with Rocket's bills we sort of postponed but he needs to go...don't want any surprises with him at this time...the clinic where we take Comet is a hospital that is open 24/7 and so i managed to book an apt with his vet that is on duty today...luckily i grabbed the few apts of the day...

praying for Butthead, Whiskers and any other kitty who is not doing well....sadly i have added WCF to my prayers as she mourns the loss of Meowzi....and as usual...keeping Ele close to my thoughts and prayers too...and i won't forget Chris either as she mourns the loss of Harry and Cleo....it is so very sad this year so far for LL....i'm at a loss for words...

please continue to pray for us here....

Love that Rocket is yapping to Daddybean to let him out. Awwww. That made my day. Beautiful numbers for Rocket today too.

Comet's vet report not good....found a lump by his throat...awaiting bloodwork to book him in to get it removed....they said it could be tuesday to get results...

please add Comet to your prayers too....i really was not expecting that...really at a loss for words

the lump is the size of a nickle...so could be growing still i don't know...my head is spinning...i have an uneasy feeling...upon getting the results on the bloodwork we would have to book him in right away (this week) to get that removed...

so many emotions going thru my head right now...guilt is one of them...as i have been dealing with Rocket and neglecting to a point poor Comet....i feel bad...can't stop crying...i don't want to fear the worst...i need to calm myself here but seems like it's been pouring on me for a long time with no end in sight....

on a good note...Rocket ate on his own while we were out...and ate again about 15 mins ago...all on his own no holding of the dish for me...or spoon feeding...he went to his dish and ate....they're both now napping....

i feel oh so bad

Worrying won't fix anything except let Rocket know something is wrong. The same advice goes, just love him. Wait for the info before thinking the worst. Even if it is the worst you will have the info. Until then, try and put it out of your mind. Our older animals do seem to get hit with things, just because they are older. Guilt won't fix anything either. Repeat to yourself, you are doing your best and you love them. Sending hugs and saving up lots more.

Stop crying and take Comet on a walk ;) You should get a halter if you don't have one already. We use Maverick's on Nike.

Awesome about Rocket eating *clapping*.

aw, hoping for the best when you get the results...and don't dare feel guilty, Claudia...

you are dealing with an enormous amount of adversity...and doing an amazing job of it.

we'll definitely add Comet to our prayers...

oh wow - but I am with the others. try not to worry until you have the results. you can't feel guilty - you've done the best you could, with both of them. You've done a great job.

It was so great to read about Rocket eating all on his own. Fantastic. :-D

Oh Claudia. This just doesn't seem fair. I'm hoping and praying that the lump isn't anything ugly. I'm with the others here. You have nothing to feel guilty about. No one could take any better care of their fur babies than you do. This is in no way your fault.

I am with everyone here, wait for the results and go from there! Rocket sounds like he is doing well today, take some positive from that! Comet, deal with what comes from the bloodwork when it comes.. but most of all, you really truly cannot beat yourself up for anything! You are an incredible momma to your babies!!

Oh no, Claudia. Still, don't panic. You don't know yet. My friend's dog just had a lump removed and it was benign and he's home and doing great.
Think positive, if you can! I'm adding Comet to my ongoing prayers for you and your family.

Claudia, lots of prayers for your fur family and for you tonight. You are doing a wonderful job coping with all these issues. I agree with what the others have said: wait until you know what you are dealing with.

thank you all for your words of encouragement...yesterday i vented and today i need moral cyber support...i feel so beat up...in every sense of the word....now the waiting time for the labwork on Comet (for those of you who may not know Comet is our dog)....then it's a matter of booking the surgery to remove the lump...it is stressful but i will be positive that he will be ok...i keep telling that to myself...he is such a happy dog...no complaints from him as he sees me spend a lot of time with Rocket....he is a good nature dog...

Very encouraging that he ate on his own today.

I hope the lump is nothing serious. Try not to worry. Send positive thoughts towards Comet and Rocket and take one step at a time. And vent away, some times it helps to sound off to people that understand.

(((Claudia)))....you have been through so much and have been so strong and brave. I know it is hard but try not to worry until you can get more info from the vet. We will keep you all in our prayers. Glad Rocket ate today!
