2/27 LOOSE LIPS: pools and trails....

Good Morning LL!! (LOTS today Elsa! please.....), and Happy Fursday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP kitteh barista pilot!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Bug and Lola are exhausted from I dunno! but they still want to be working today too at PawPrints Pizza, so..... They have decided that today is TURN-AROUND TRIPLE THURSDAY! They are doing triples on everything! :shock: Kinda cool huh!They say that since Wacky Wednesday was so wacky that they wants to give all kitties some fun times today, triple funs! What will that be.... I dunno! :roll: so. well. anyways. Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot Breve's, with beans from high in the Brazilian Mountains.... and for my mocha fans: a VENTI Quad Blueberry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, swirled with a raspberry puree, topped with a strawberry infused whip garnished with caramelized berry sprinkles and white chocolate curls and a caramel drizzle.......SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of 4 berry and vanilla and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with caramel and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. We did well here. Our day started out pretty much as they always do... one of Nicholas famous waffles and berries breffis, with a few gummi bears added for good measure, and bacon. :lol: I love these mornings, such a grand just hangout together time, as we discuss what the day will hold, what they want to do, what we can do, what the weather will be, and if Bear is coming... of course Bear always gets to come. :lol: We watch one Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and then we are out the door. What a day! swimming, and trail, and naps and good weather! Here is what I wrote about the day in yesterday's post: "Hi everyone! How's life treating you this afternoon. Well, maybe it is evening. I hope your day has been a good one. Ours has been fantastic. it was a pool day for Nicholas, while William spent the morning with the other grandparents. We went hiking after that, as the weather was just too good not to! We got very lucky here today - sunny skies for the most part, 55/59 temps. It was so nice to be out today in the afternoon with out a coat. YAY! The energizer fishie was just that: energized, and so at home in the water! Good times! Nicholas did just over 2 hours, and then didn't want to get out. sheshhhh.... after we were dressed and heading out he says he thinks we should now go to the terrace pool. :shock: :lol: Crazy. He did well today, had a ton of fun, spent most of his big pool time fetching things off of the bottom of the pool. Made most of them too. He really loves being able to make the bottom, find what he can find. We had a couple of underwater swims one side to the other. Awesome look on his face when he makes the other side, without any help. GO KID. The first 30 minutes in the beach area was interesting. some little girl decided she wanted to play with him, which was all well and good. but she was one of these kids that has to monopolize all aspects of play. I think I spent more time referring than anything else. Today he learned how to tell another child no, he was playing with whatever it was, and she needs to wait her turn, and let him have is time. :roll: :roll: She was an annoying child. sheshhhh..... other than that - as always, fun stuff in the pool. We did the hiking trail after that, the one by the pool. It's about a mile long, maybe, and he likes it, can pretend he's in the "wilderness." William was so happy to be out there. He will be just like Nicholas, with the love of the outdoors. His face just lit up when he saw where he was headed. Both boys had a great time together hiking. Lots of shared things, smiles, and exploring all we could find to explore. It has been a great day today.

Normalcy in MusketeerVille! This morning things are very normal, very quiet... hmmmmmmmmmmm...... Once again Elsa has camped out on her spot on the sofa, Bug is in Mannie's bed, and Lola is on my lap. Supreme bliss rules here this morning. I have written this so many times, but it still holds true: the mornings here are my some of my favorite times with the kitties. Stay this way today kitties. It is so quiet there this morning. We all had a great day yesterday - even the kitties. It has warmed up here alot, but the Musketeers still didn't believe it, so off to nap the day away in their beds. They all decided that early on that their beds were the place to be. Even Lola. Well for a while anyways. Once William and Nicholas arrived she was up, ready to check out what they were up to today. She was good though yesterday - I came home and nothing was amiss! oh wait - she did manage to rip to pieces one of Nicholas's drawings. He was forgiving and said "it's OK Lola, I will make another one". :shock: :shock: :shock: Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone. I am back on Nicholas and William duty today. The weather is questionable today, so it may be an indoor day today. How could I expect two good weather days in a row???? Silly me! :roll: :lol: We shall see how things develop over the next few hours, and then decide. I am sure Nicholas will come with a plan too. He always does! I so hope we get that sun.... we all want to amke a return trip back to one of out fav spots on the Skykomish River. Paws crossed!

How sweet that Nicholas told Lola it was OK that she "ate" his drawing! She just has an overload of energy, that one...I know how that goes all too well! Nice on those temperatures and hiking without jackets. I hope the weather holds for you today...have fun with the boys, Michelle!

Morning Amy I thought so too on Nicholas. Sweet that he wasn't upset. And that she does, know too that you know how it is with one on energy overload. ;-) I hope so too on the weather today. The warm may be there, not too sure on the sun part. Paws are crossed. THX on today, we sure will try.

So much fun yesterday. Nicholas is growing up so fast and having a blast. Once again I have to say how very lucky you are and how lucky the boys are to be able to spend so much time together. Awesome all the way around.

Oh Elsa, I really need you! Do you have advil too, with those coffees? . My head hurts from lack of sleep and I think a cold :cry: .

I agree with the kitties...bed is the place to be! Too bad I had to go to work :roll: :lol: . It's nice that Nicholas wasn't upset at his drawing getting ripped, what a good kid . I hope you get that sunshine...if not, have a great indoor day, I'm sure your event planner will come up with something interesting to do :razz:

That's great both boys enjoyed the trail yesterday. I'm sure you'll have fun today, inside or outside. How nice of Nicholas to not get mad at Lola over the drawing.

Hi Michelle,
What a great description of swimming and trail hiking yesterday. And the pics! It must have been wonderful to hike in shirt sleeves. The boys look like they are having such fun. I love the pic of William (no. 127).

I hope that today's weather wasn't too bad and that you were able to get outside again.

Lola, you'll have to start painting your own pictures (see the book "Why Cats Paint" for inspiration).

Elsa, nothing beats your delicious every morning. Especially in this cold, cold weather. THANK YOU, Kitteh Barista.

Hi everyone. I so hope your day has been a good one. The boys and I had such a great one today. Our weather was good, not much sun but still good: no rains, no winds, just a nice temp @ 45. We didn't make the 55 that was supposed to hit the river where we were, but that really didn't matter. None of us were cold. We even ate lunch outside. We elected to go to the Skykomish River in Gold Bar. No rains, no winds reported there, and minimal cloud density. it really turned out to be a great choice. William was able to play in the sand, minimal front pack for him. Which was really a plus for me. Nicholas had the best of the best time. Just being a boy and doing all the things he usually does, from river wading to rock throwing and sticks beyond sticks. He was able to show William a few things, and lay with him in the sand. River was gorgeous too - a greenish cast, with a touch of blue - very pretty! And running very fast. It was a little high, but we still had ample shoreline to use. Fantastic time. Lucky kid - saw two trains go over that bridge. WOOT! Nicholas really wanted to go to Picnic Point too, for the afternoon. Lucky kid gets to nap on the rides here and there, LOL. SO we went... that too never made the promised 55, but it still was a decent time there. No winds, no rains, and good to go. Little guy brought his buckets, and was determined to play in the sand with all his water equipment. :lol: :lol: So he did. William too - more sand eating and bucket playing. Neither one of them could have card less that the water was cold... You gotta love that. So all in all, what a great day. Two very happy very tired little boys. William will be just like big bro: his face just lit up today when he was outdoors, in such a wodnerful place(s). We had a ton of wet clothes and socks. muddy boots. 7 train sightings: major cool, per the little guy. yupp, that it was - a major cool day.

Thanks everyone for the visits today. Forgive my short reply. We were out the door at 8, and I did not make it back home til 5. So.... major tired! and t think that tomorrow is a double swim day, with a arrival home of 8:30.... :shock: This grammie needs to sleep. :roll: :roll: :lol: :lol:
