Hi, furbaby friends...
Baby has cleared her bounce to the 200s from last night's lower #s... she earned her doseDEcrease & we took it and appreciate the words of wisdom from Libby & Jill.
She is eating a minimeal of Raw Rabbit with OceanFish dust sprinkled on top.. really nervous about tonight & her eating though.. we have winds/thunderstorms moving towards us at 50-60 miles per hour & are now predicted here within the next 2 hours.. Baby is TERRIFIED & I mean TERRIFIED of thunderstorms.. hides, wont eat, etc. when we were in Lantus Land last time.. it made it very upsetting to get her to eat nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile

Glad she cleared the bounce. Our dog is extremely afraid of thunderstorms too. She has such a bad heart, it makes my heart pound thinking about the stress thunder puts on her. On the doggie heart group - they mentioned a tshirt that is tight that seems to calm a lot of dogs down. I wonder if there is something like that with cats.

I now bundle Nike up all tight in a blanket and hold her. The last couple thunderstorms last year she fell asleep in my arms even though it was still thundering. Thankfully Maverick doesn't notice the thunder.

in my house I am the one who is terrified of storms. The cats don't even care (until I start trying to herd them into the bathroom if there is a tornado warning, THAT they don't like).

Come down GENTLY tonight, Baby, and eat like a good girl.

I have to ask...does that meal you described qualify as Surf 'n' Turf?

Voodoo here is also terrified of storms he has what I call his storm bunker in his room its a big tupperware with a bed in it with a blanket over the top that he hides in for storms he is the only cat I have ever had be soo scared of storms :cry: we also have storms on the way hope Baby does not have too scary of a night her numbers sure are nice

What great numbers for baby. I hope the storm passes you by tonight. It will be OK Baby. Your Mama won't let anything happen to you.

I want her to surf 50s, not 40s so I am feeding a higher carb than normal.. thankfully the storm only lasted a about 30mins... your good wishes worked well!

Baby is looking good as always!! I hope that Baby made it through the first round of storms okay... looks like another is on the way! We had one big crack of thunder here in midtown which got Willie's attention, but otherwise he didn't really notice.

Trying to FIND Baby so I can give her more gravy with Rescue Remedy.. she is NOT outside.. but I have looked everywhere & she usually hides in the garage & I have looked there... off to search again... it is thundering, lightening & hailing & Baby is TERRIFIED.

I was a nervous wreck trying to locate her.. I had to resort to Temptations.. I shook the bag, she came out of hiding low to the ground nervously.. I gave her 3 Temptations with a drop of Rescue Remedy on each one & she got 3/4 tablespoon of Wellness Chicken/Liver Gravy.

So glad you found Baby - the Temptations do it every time. With Maggie it is the Gerber baby food jar lid snapping. I enjoy hearing your menu for Baby on your first WCR report. Baby's a very lucky kitty to have you as her Bean!

Thanks, Ann.. I hated to give her any form of dry because I know, I know, I know.. but I had to get Rescue Remedy in her & I had to get the bag to bring her out of hiding. She will probably be 400 in an hour :shock: But, her safety comes first.
That is so funny about Maggie & the Baby Food :lol: :lol: :lol:

I a so glad you found her. Poor little thing. I hope the rescue remedy will calm things down.

Rescue Remedy has kicked in.. she won't eat though.. but I will keep trying to get her to eat a little bit..

Hi Nicole. Happy to see Baby coming back up. I'd hate to have you trying to locate her, with her diving.
Checkers and his civvie brothers LOVE storms. They will go out on the screen porch and sit like idiots getting wet. Check's sister (GA) was like Baby. She was terrified and hid behind a tall cabinet, for hours after the thunder had passed.
Hope you get a chance to sleep tonight, with those nice numbers.

Ok.. Baby is surfing 40s & 50s, quite surprised her gravy did not kick in.. I have had 3 rising #s, Baby tends to begin going up by now.. I could go to bed I think.. but want to feed her another mini meal & see at least another # for +7.

She is chill from the Rescue Remedy.. all CrAzY wet on her right side.. must have been some bath she took :lol:

Glad you guys weathered the storm!! One trick with the Rescue Remedy... I find feeding it to Willie gets him to be a bit too mellow, so I instead rub 2 drops on each ear, and a drop on each side of the nose in the base of Willie's whiskers, and I find it has a very calming effect without zoning him out too much. On our last visit to the old vet, I gave it to him orally and he was soooo stoned! the vet was convinced he must be sick, and actually seemed irritated when his temp came back normal!! I didn't dare fess up to the rescue remedy. figured it would be one more thing I would get yelled at for!! LOL

Love the story of Chex and the bunch!! such crazy kitties!!

I'm sorry Baby is so afraid of thunderstorms, Nicole. I'm glad you were able to get her to come out and eat something. I had a dog that was terrified of thunderstorms, I had to give him sedatives...poor thing! I feel so sorry for them, they don't understand and you can't do much to make them feel better. :sad:

Well.. Sunday night.. most def.. most are in bed.. so I am going to offer her a bite or 2 or Rabbit, if she eats.. she ate.. if she doesn't.. then I test in a few hours & she gets food at AM shot.. Good night.
