Hi L&LL,
Rusty got a reducie tonight. I had been thinking of taking his dose down a smidgen to try to stop the bounce and drop. So we are back to what I call a fat 0.25U (0.25mm on the digital calipers, Monoject syringe). We were out on our snowshoe picnic hike until mid afternoon, and Rusty's 51 at +7.5 suggests that he may have been much lower earlier (his nadir is usually around +5.5). Anyway, we'll revisit this dose and see what happens. His appetite has been only so-so today (he tends to save his food when we're not home).
We and our friends had a beautiful snowshoe (1 person skied, several walked in microspikes) through the woods to a beautiful little pond with a leanto overlooking it. We built a fire and roasted hot dogs and marshmellows. Then we had a February surprise for the group: Klondike ice cream bars (Edward carried them in a soft-side cooler in his pack). It was a mild day (felt like early spring) and everyone was delighted with this treat. The snow was icy and crusty, but OK. We walked over to a beaver lodge on the pond and found it covered in otter scat! I think the beavers must have abandoned it. Fun day.
Going downstairs now to hold Rusty's bowl.
