What an exciting first day for Ruby on Lantus....we love it!!!!! You did a very nice job of controlling her curve yesterday. And just a wee bit of a bounce today....yay Ruby!! Let's see what you got there, sweetie.

the ups and downs might not feel so good. all the more reason to get her down and keep her down.

I'm really happy that I haven't seen any reds and only a couple of pinks for the past 2 days. Its a good sign in my book, that we're heading in a good direction.

Well, so much for being quiet today. She just spontaneously ran a couple of laps around the living room like she's just trying to prove me wrong. :smile:

she read your condo! the LL kitties always do that - as soon as you write it on the condo - they read it and have to prove you wrong! :-D that is so you don't forget who is REALLY in charge at your house.

I'm definitely less stressed. I'm never good with change. (just ask the husband!)
There hasn't been a whole lot of sleep and I'm still nervous about going to work tomorrow, but we'll get thru it!

i think it's not important. for whatever reason, cats seem to have flat days sometimes. for some cats that means the next cycle is going to be very un-flat. i haven't had that with punkin but enough people have said it that it must be true of quite a few cats.

re going back to work tomorrow - do you have a timed feeder? i think i might've asked before, so i apologize if i just am not remembering. that's given me a lot of peace of mind for punkin while i'm gone to work.

What a great first day on Lantus. This may be a bit of a bounce form finally getting into normal numbers. Very often when we see a very flat day there is an active cycle to follow. You were great yesterday, Ruby actually surfed really well w/ only a little extra help from you. Don't worry about tomorrow until it gets here, that is eons away in LL time! :lol: :lol:

No auto feeder. I'll leave the food out in the morning as usual, so its there when she wants a snack and I'll have the husband put it up at around 3:00 so she can't get to it the last couple of hours before her PMPS.

that's right - thanks for bearing with my "teflon brain" *sigh*

she's looking good today. flat isn't bad once in a while!

will you be able to get a +2 in the morning before you head out for work? the +2 is often like a barometer, letting you know what the cycle is going to be like. if it's about the same as the preshot number, you likely have no worries and will see a nice easy curve. if it's significantly higher, might be seeing a bounce starting. if it's significantly lower - just leave out the high carbs for munchies - or have your husband dole it out to her over the next 6 hours!

I can probably pull off about +1.5 but that's as late as I can go in the morning. I can probably sneak home and get a +6 at lunch time, too.

since she's a grazer, i'm sure she'll be fine. if i left food out for punkin he'd eat it all, well then. when i set it down. :lol:
