I haven't posted in a while because I am out of town at the moment and my dear brother is looking after Radar for the time being. Radar seems to be doing very well in my absence He is eating like a champion and is especially interested in eating as much RadCat as much as possible. I understand that he prefers to eat Rad Cat over most other things that are offered which is a new development for him. The litter box is normal and there is normal running and playing and grooming. He has been getting daily probiotics and weekly B12 shots at the vet which we are sure is helping him.

My brother has not been able to test Radar's sugar levels at the rate that I usually do so we don't have lots of numbers although the ss is up to date. When I look at the ss, I see a general trend down in the evening preshot numbers. However, there isn't much information about Radar's current nadir :( at this dose. He has been on it for a while and I'm a little worried about keeping the current dose. It seems to me that he needs a .25 increase right now or is it important to get a few more numbers this week so a more informed decision can be made. Anyone have any thoughts? @Tricia Cinco(GA) & Harvey

Hi Jan.

I hope things are going okay with you and that you will be home with Radar soon. I don't recall how long you said you'd be gone.

Is there any day of the week that your brother could run a curve, or at least get one or two test more in the middle of the cycle? I'm a little hesitant to make dose recommendations without more of an idea how low he's going. I'll see if some more people can take a look at the SS, too.

Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts. I am also reluctant to make a change because I simply don't have much information to go by. I just got off the phone with my brother and he has been sick and has also had challenges with demands at work. We have formed a plan to get more mid cycle tests so we can be better informed about Radar's nadir on this dose.

Hi Jan,

Tricia asked for some other input about Radar's dose. I think the idea to get a little more mid-cycle data is a good one - then you can feel confident about the dose change. It does look to me like he's trended upwards since the dose dropped to 3.75u, but since he's not getting tested as much as when you're home, I'd probably leave it there until you get back.

Just my 2 cents worth . . . and good to see you!

HI Jayla! How are you? and how are the kitties? I hope all of you are doing well.
We are doing well....nice to see you!:bighug:

what a good idea! When I bring in my plants from the deck before the weather freezes I have to guard them so my cats won't eat them completely. They especially like my Boston fern. Perhaps I should grow some grass just for them.

Is that wheat grass or ?
