Well I have no idea what my spread sheet looks like( I did look at vicky's ss ?? )
Here is how I figured yesterday into today so far: Let me know if you have any suggestions as to where we/I can actually read it
@5a gave .5 bg 303 so that was amps
+1-6a
+2-7a
+3-8a gave .5 bg 276
+4-9a
+5-10a bg 291
+6-11a
+7-12a bg 261
+8-1p
+9-2p
+10-3p bg 297
+11-4p
+12-5p
+1-6p
+2-7p
+3-8p gave .5 bg 297
+4-9pm
+5-10p
+6-11p gave .5 bg 300

Which brings us to today where I will be shooting at 11/a-pm at 8am his bg was 352 not really sure where to put that one.

Re: 2/26 Mickey

Hi Peggy, I noticed you wrote this in the notes: "Day off- split doses at 5a-8a/8p and 11pm doses are 1/2 unit each time to get back to 11a/11p for evening shifts."
You meant "1/2 dose" right, 'cause that's what you put in the cell for dose. Also, in your AMPS cell you put that splits were at 5AM/11AM, that's not right, either, is it?

Split doses should be half the current dose, not .5U, just want to make sure you understood that part.

On your spreadsheet, you can add columns (columns are up and down, rows are across), so you can have a column for the shot times at AM & PM. You can also make the cells bigger to accommodate more info, if you want to put time in the dose cell for example. That will shorten the notes section though, I believe, but so will adding a column.

To add a column, click the letter above the column next to where you want the new column. Click "insert" and select either "column left" or "column right" depending on which side of the highlighted column you want you new column. There you go!

I custom built my spreadsheet though, I didn't use a template, so maybe you can't add a column, but all the buttons should work for you. Something else I do is use the correct +hours for BG result. For example, if you are giving earlier AM shots, say +10, you put the BG result in both the PM +10 column AND in the AMPS column. That way you can see what +hour the shot actually was in relation to the previous preshot. Does that make sense? I think it will help everyone a lot though if you add a column for the shot time. I know that's extra work, but it may help you eliminate confusion for yourself too!

The 8AM BG you should put in the +column relating to his previous shot. If that was 11PM then put it in the +9 column.

I actually really like his numbers yesterday. Remember that steady BGs are good, even if they are higher. Then the 352 is probably a reaction to the splits yesterday, which is typical, I usually see a higher number after splits as well, but it is still better than what a +15 or later shot would cause.

Re: 2/26 Mickey

Peggy, what is the current dose that you plan to use for Mickey? If it's 1 Unit BID then the .5U at the split shot times would be right. If you're current dose for Mickey is only a 1/2U BID then the split shots would be 1/4U shots so he would get a total of 1/2U morning and night.

Re: 2/26 Mickey

She shot fat .4U's on splits yesterday, so his total dose each cycle was probably closer to 1U than .8U. Fats on such small doses might as well be the next tenth as there's just not much wiggle room. She might as well stay with .8U for now as the regular dose, if she is comfortable measuring that.
