Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) and greetings from the frozen PNW, Happy Caturday too!

Vet Appt this morning to do an urinalysis - a 10 day post clavamox to verify that indeed his UTI has been cleared up. Paws crossed that he will be a good boy, let them get their sample, and we are in and out of there before the boy really knows he as at the vets. It's always such a hassle to get a sample.... 9 times out of 10 he's either done his thing in his carrier, the bladder is empty, or he nails the vet techs before they do their thing. I hope, paws crossed, that this morning will be the 1 time out of 10 where he is a model patient... :roll:

There really isn't too much to say about yesterday - it was PINK nearly all day long, a flat nasty pink. He did start to clear the bounce close to nadir last night. It was very nice to see a 168 at ps this morning,. YAY! and Go Mannie!!! cat_pet_icon

We are so cold here today and yesterday, well cold for us: 25-30, woke up to a 19 this morning.... Poor Mannie! all that cold meant that the snow we did get is still on the ground. He made several attempts yesterday to go outside, would get 2 feet out onto the deck, stop, sit, a let out several noticeable sighs, turn around and head back inside to the nanner pile. :lol: :lol: He's content this morning - breffis eaten: still a member of the clean plate club. auto feeder ignored: he heard it, looked up, looked back at the nanners, and decided they needed his attention more than the fuds. Once again breffis number #2 required an escort. :roll: Normalcy in MannieLand.

Hey Mannie, hang on to your pee until you get to the vet's. You want to give your sample and get outta there QUICK (KTSS will have to do the spa treatment if you spend too much time there!).
Yep, I'm up for whatever you want to do today. It's cold here and starting to snow again, so maybe we should go to the desert?

Good luck with the sample, Michelle! I sure hope that the infection is history. Will you be walking today? I have to go over the tax stuff for our meeting in NYC on Monday with the tax man. Wish I could do it myself, but I'm a numbers cripple!!

Happy Caturday, guys!

Good luck getting the sample- I am sending hopeful vines that his infection is completely gone and that he does not maim any vet techs in the process... Mannie, you're doing great bringing the numbers down, so just keep up the good behavior at the vet's and your mama bean will be so happy!!!

I don't know why you even bother with the auto feeder! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

My boys miss the outdoors too. We had those two beautiful days here a couple weeks ago and they were so happy, but that's all over for now. Brrrrr!

Good Luck to Mannie and you today at the Vet - I hope the UTI is all cleared up! Mannie is starting out on some nice blues, so hope the Vet visit doesn't stress him out!

Hey Mannie, lil ole Maggie is bored sitting in the house looking outside at the rain and is up for anything you and Rusty have in mind for today!

Hi Ella - I hope so on the walking - it is so sunny, but cold - 19 at last report. and hear you on the taxes - I finally bought a tax program a few years ago, and love it. it has done well by us. Used to do them all myself, but it got to be a bit overwhelming when it came to the capital gains stuff.... blech!

Hi Violet- oh please let it be so.... be good Mannie - hold onto it, don't hurt the vets techs and let's make it an in and out visit!

Mannie I always try to pee on the vet techs cause they is carrying me in to the bad place--sometimes I pee in my carrier & they rush all around to get some!! What's so cool about our pee??--We would Love to go somewhere warm!!--Please come get us out of the cold--Big Hugs from us!!

Michelle, Moonie does the same thing at the vets--She can be quite the she-devil :evil: when it comes to those urine tests--but she is passive aggressive! and acts sweet, while she pees all over the tech :lol: :lol: :lol:

I am sooooooooooooo frustated! angry(2)_cat we get up to the vet. all he had to do was give a sample.... :roll: :roll: and voila!: empty bladder, not a drop to give anybody... so - we have to go back. crappus crappus - oh well - I can try to get one at home, but hate that as it is the farthest thing from sterile as anything could be. so no doubt he will have to go back. Not today though, as more snow is supposed to be coming. if it does... so - Monday sounds good to me. But HEY: a 104 after the trip - excellent!!


and now I need a walk.... therapeutic! oooo - I see snowflakes starting to fall - YAY!

Hey, Mannie! I don't haz no warm outside, but I'z do haz warm inside! If de desert doesn't work out, I'z think I'z improvised some sleds an' we cud play in de snow, den turn on de heat dish and lounge by de radiators!! I'z got freezer full of de meats an' some tuna an' all kinds of other yummies. De Bean is headed out for de afternoon... we'd haz de place to ourselves!! --Willie

Nice blue numbers today, but bummer on the vet visit. Fortunately, DH is doing our taxes. I'm w/ Ella on numbers.

Mannie! Sun and warmer here, but not real warm. The desert sounds good and so does Rusty's radiator. I like radiator! -- Tess p.s. Uhhh, so where did your pee go? Did you hide it to keep them from taking it?

Hi Karrie - I know.... silly bean.... to even begin to think that I would have any remote chance of getting a sample.... :roll: :roll: And i know on the outdoor non-adventure yesterday - it was kinda funny. Today with a little bit more snow falling he didn't even try. poor guy!

Hi Ann - yep on the vet - I, in all honesty, expected the result. I thought about leaving him for a few hours so they could get what they needed, but knew too he was headed to the land of the greens, and seriously wondered: would they test him as often as I would with dropping numbers? chances are doubtful, and if they did, would they charge me for every little poke/test? more than likely.... so: home he came. :-D on taxes and numbers - I love them, and did ours faithfully by hand every year, until it became convoluted with capital gains and installment sales, etc.... bring on turbo tax: works like a charm.

Hey Mannie, Tess, Rusty, Willie and the rest of the gang!! I just woke up!!! Sorry!!! Long night for the bean and me. YES...everyone can come to the desert. It's cloudy today but still warmer than everywhere else esp Mannie's and Rusty's!! We can go out pack rat hunting and then maybe have spicy BBQ pack rat thighs! My mamabean said she'd fire up the grill for us!!

Morning Marjorie! Yep - made my morning hike: went between his +4 and +6 - gave me two hours, which was OK. It's cold - 19 when I left, 25 when I came back, and snowing.... very very gorgeous out there. The fireplace thing will be late today - I do too love that. Makes for such a nice wrap up for the day. and oh well on the vet.... I just knew this wasn't going down this AM - and that's OK, we just try again another day.

Gracie!!!! Another all nighter for you? I gots to visit your condo, if my bean will ever fork over the 'puter - she hogs it! OK then - we come to your place!!! It would be so cool to grill and have spicy BBQ'd pack rat thighs. YUM!! hey - we gets to go to WIllie's too - though I dunno.... word has it that he went in search of mermaids... On no, bummer on the sample. I'm just catching up on condos. I was wondering could they do the needle procedure - can't think of the correct terminology for it! Or would it stress Mannie too much?

Cystocentesis is the name of the procedure - had to look it up. That was the way they got a sample from Maggie.

Hi Ann - yep, we tried that last time, the problem was that he is a big kitty, and without putting him under and using an US, last time they couldn't locate the bladder :shock: so after 5 tries they gave up. SO... i dunno.... today he was just empty - seems he had taken care of business before we left, I just didn't want to leave him,as his BG's were falling. so - brought him home, and we will try again.
