Morning ~O) I overslept by one hour, but was still able to keep on schedule. Just didn't have enough time to feel fully awake before dosing and shooting. Mags woke me up and had been trying for a while before I actually got up. I found her laying next to me, finally giving up. I guess I must have been super tired. All P's in place, and Mags is taking a second nap.
Yesterday my neighbor was taken to the hospital by paramedics, so I'm on kitty duty probably for a week. This is the moody Russian Blue kitty that I've babysat before when neighbor has been sick. Kitsi is a beautiful girl kitty, and I can now tell by her look when to leave her alone. She'll only take a little stroking and then will pull her head away quickly and attempt a nip to the hand. She's a Plus size  so I'm attempting some play time with one of the wand string toys.
Have a nice Sunday. I hope to get out and about today and catch up on some shopping, Mags shopping one of them.

Morning Ann!

Bummer on the oversleep - you must have needed it. Hoe nice of Maggie to curl up next to you when it as apparent that you were sound asleep. nice though that you were still able to keep all on schedule. :-D

I hope all is well with your neighbor. It is good of you to take care of her kitty when she is not well. Also good that you can now tell when to leave her alone. Good luck with the play time!

Very nice start for you today Maggie.

Another nice day for Maggie. You must have needed that extra hour of sleep! You're a good neighbor to step in when needed.

+4 111

It looks like we may have a nice day. I am confused as to why one day we have nice numbers and then the next day high numbers when I am using the same dose and same food. I guess it's the cat thing again! :?:

With my neighbor's cat, all she has with the wet is the Salmon Feast Grilled in Gravy, and Kitsi kitty doesn't seem to eat it. I seem to remember a while back that when Purina changed the ingredients, this particular flavor was one the cats detested! Does anyone remember. This is the grilled flavor. She has some dry kibble that she's eating just to make sure there's food in her tummy,

Hi Ann,
I hope that your neighbor will be well soon and able to come home. She's lucky that you live nearby! Too bad about the food situation. Do you have any spare FF T&G?

The numbers thing is certainly "the cat". Or the weather, or the moon phase, or too much sleep(!), or the day of the week. Whatever! Have a grand day and I hope you get out for your walk.

See ya at the toboggan chute, Maggie. It's cold today: wear your mittens!

Hi Ann.....lovely day for Maggie.....GREEN!!! WOOOT for your gorgeous girl.

The age old question isn't it....same food/same dose...why different? Sometimes I just wonder if it's the fact that the syringe inaccuracy keeps us from dosing as consistently as we'd like. Pure speculation on my part but it's not so easy to microdose with these syringes. I just got three boxes of MJs from ADW and they are HORRIBLE. I'm not sure why the syringes from ADW seem so much worse than those from Hocks....it doesn't make any sense.

Hope you are able to get out and do your shopping and enjoy your day. Your neighbor is so lucky to have you to feed and care for Kitsi while she's out. Sending healing vines to your neighbor...hope she is ok.

Have a great day....glad you got that extra zzzzzzz...never hurts :-D :-D

Hi Marje, thanks on the cycle and Maggie. Yes, I thought about that with the syringes and microdosing and the variances with them. I ordered a box of the UtiCare syringes for pets, and now I understand what Christie was saying about them. I think I'm just used to the MJ's.

My neighbor and I just found a beautiful orange kitty, so we're trying to find its owner.

What a wonderful neighbour you are to take care of her kitty while she's gone, i hope all is ok with her and its nothing major. I had to laugh at the plus size comment   plus sized kitties are the best! Maybe she's just a little stressed out about her bean being gone and that's why she's not eating?

You know i never, ever look at the syringes before i dose Leo. I notice sometimes that the lines are a little crooked on the syringes, but i still use them. I guess it makes a difference when your kitty is on a micro dose. We use the BD syringes, how do you find the new syringes that Christie recommends?

Nice numbers for Mags today, how sweet that she was sleeping beside you this morning. Have a great day!

I've wondered about the variation in dosing too. I try to be consistent but it's hard to tell. It's a crime (or it should be) that there isn't a cat insulin of a reasonable potency to make dosing less variable and less stressful. I used to not check the syringes then we got a bad batch of MJs that were all over the place. This box is better.

Glad to see the Mags in green! You really should count that 111 as green. You will feel better.
