Good morning everyone! ~O)

Today I was woken up by the sound of a bowl being pushed around on the floor. Being summoned, I turned over before getting up and peeped the time (+11). Thought it was nice of Jax not to let me miss my +11 test so I got up and started the morning routines. Jax got shot 15 mins early. Didn't think he was about to get into his rocketship and take off but I kind of wanted to get it over with and get back into bed. Bad me.
Now to the recap!

AMPS 233 1.6u given and fed
+2 257 Off to the movies!
+5 122 1.oz snack
+ 8 143 Beautiful. Pretty sure he will come in sub 200 for AMPS
+11 309 Unexpected. Hmmm...
AMPS 328 1.6u given and fed.

I am pleased with this cycle, even with the pink PS. Just glad that it seems like his body is getting used to the lower numbers without the rebounds or panic. Also pleased that the 1.6u isn't taking him too low. Still plenty of room to go down at nadir if needed, although I have no plans on exploring that, for now. I'm content at the time with his progress.

Other than waking up to the sound of "FEED ME!!!", your morning sounds wonderful! And Jax's numbers look really good!. I'd like to say I'm hoping for numbers equally wonderful for Grayson today, but at this point, I'll settle for just seeing "NONE" on his ketone strip!
 
Our guys regularly wake me a half hour or 15 mins before test time. They just wanna be SURE you know it’s kitty time!!!!!
Jax is lookin good. Maybe he’ll whittle that 300 ps down for you as he settles in more. Hope so :-D

I knew there was something about this number that was out of place but I could not put my finger on it. I think I figured out what happened. I have a lunch date with Dad but I had to post this while the thoughts are fresh in my mind.

I think Jax had a dump last night. I am pretty sure he did, I just failed to recognize it. Mind you, it wasn't a dump that brings him into the 400's but it was a dump nonetheless...a 150 point dump. Let me explain what I'm thinking. The +11 was not in pattern as I thought he would coast along coming in at a very low 200 for AMPS, instead I got a +11 that was 309. Normally I would think that the insulin simply wore off and that he is rising as a result but my AMPS doesn't support that. When the insulin wears off he skyrockets but he came in at a pretty respectable 328. Low, for him.

Now onto what's happening with this cycle. So Far:

AMPS 328 1.6u given and fed
+4 211 Looking good
+5 227 This woke me up. Makes no sense and then I started to put the pieces together... 1.5 oz snack given
+7 239 No real movement from the food so the insulin is working to some degree

I think the liver dump he had last night released as Laurie puts it, "counter regulatory hormornes" which is suppressing most of the insulin action today. Hence, a flatter than normal cycle.

Just when I thought the dumps were a thing of the past, they are not. It's just was not as violent as before.
I am going to hold him at 1.6u but I am interested to see how long this lasts. If I can see how long it really takes him to clear a bounce, it will help us greatly.

Hope everyone had a nice lazy Sunday. I'm going to provide the full cycle recap. I still think that what I posted previously stands. I think he did have a liver dump, albeit a small one last night. Here we go!
