Good Morning LL. DH here. Marje is at work on yet another Wednesday. We hope you are all well.

LBG and I had a PJ party last night/this morning. She came down smartly from the AM bounce and had a pretty nice surf in the wee hours with very little intervention from me. We are both a little tired this morning. Her Highness is asleep in the little nest she built in our comforter however, and I'm up doing chores. She did better during contract negotiations I guess.

A good day so far. Gracie and Tobey are doing great. All P's etc. Tobey has eaten all his breakfast, watched his bird video, and crashed in his new favorite closet. I'm watching the bobcat in our back yard thinning out the dove population. Second day in a row he has been lounging around back there. He is usually only back there once or twice a week. The neighbors yard crew was working this morning so he may be trying to stay away from them. It is amazing to watch this wild thing that acts so much like your average house cat.

Have a great day.

Wow, that's kind of scary - a bobcat in the backyard. Please tell me you live in the foothills and not in suburban Tucson!! My sister used to live out by Old Tucson and she always took her pistol with her when she went for a walk because of bobcats. I guess you definitely don't want to let your pets outside unsupervised (or without a sniper).

Gracey is full of tricks, isn't she? Looks like today is more frolicking in the lagoon. Hope she lets you get some sleep tonight, Mike!

Tricia- We do live in the foothills but not out in the boonies. As we have encroached on their habitat, the bobcats, along with the coyotes and javelina, have adapted and are pretty tolerant of us. The bobcats aren't aggressive, unless you get between a mother and kittens or they are sick. They are actually pretty timid. This guy that hangs out around here couldn't care less about us being close to him. Having said that, you are right about not letting pets outside around here. They are definitely not at the top of the local food chain.

What a great day of numbers, Gracie!  The LagoonMeister says: "BRAVA"!!

We have foxes and deer, but no bobcats here in town. The deer own our yard!

Have a fine evening, guys,

Ella & Rusty

I would love to see a picture of the bobcat. We don`t have them here in Ohio unless of course you make a visit to the zoo.

Nice numbers for Gracie today. I don't think I'd want a bobcat being that comfortable in my yard.

Wow, Gracie, look at you all green and stuff  . Are you going to surf so the beans get some rest tonight? Only Gracie knows... . I'm glad her and Tobey had a nice day. It must be interesting to observe the bobcat!

I hope you all get some sleep tonight! Have a good one :-D

What a nice day for Gracie!
How cool that the bobkitty visited again. Give your (indoor) kitties scritches and headbutts for me ♥

Gracie is looking fine in her green stoll today!!!

Thankfully, we don't deal much with wildlife here at home, though at work, we are in a part of Kansas City proper that is home to the world's largest municipal park, with lots of hiking trails and open fields. The turkeys hang out just off the main road, and it's not uncommon to look out my window and see deer running through the field at the end of our parking lot. We even have a flock of turkey vultures living on our roof.  Thankfully, no bobcats!
