Last Night's Condo

No, you are not dreaming. This really is a condo from Cincoland before sunset (even in the East)! Nothing has gone as I planned today, so I figured I might as well mix things up and get this done!

First, thanks to Carla, Molly, Elise and Amy for visiting last night's condo.

Cinco is continuing last night's blue surf, much to my disappointment. Figures that, since I'm home all day, he's not interested in a swim! I just checked his hotspot, and it's looking really good. Hopefully we can take the shirt off next week. I'm not going to rush it, though. Especially since I have no idea what caused it in the first place!

Sasha's appy is okay today. Encouragement and embellishments were required to get her breakfast down her. But eat it she did. Minka, on the other hand, has had very little. Just a few air licks of breakfast, even after tummy meds. I gave her some Fancy Feast. She ate maybe three bites - small ones. I did hear her throwing up early this morning, but it was only clear liquid. Two hours after the Ond/Pepcid, I gave her some Cerenia. Two hours later I offered baby food. She ate a couple of very small bites (Harvey and Sasha were more than happy to finish off the jar). Then I broke out the SEB, which I haven't tried with her before. Now I'm giving that a chance to take effect before offering more food. I guess Mirtz is up next. I really am at my wits' end with her. @Amy&TrixieCat mentioned going back to assist feeding. I am out of a/d, but I suppose I could try it with z/d, if I can get it to the right consistency. I hate to use any of the regular foods for fear of giving her an aversion.

@MollynSkooter, thanks for catching my date error on last night's condo. I did say I had a tired brain. REALLY tired, apparently!

@tiffmaxee, the vets at UCD are not fans of Cypro, so I haven't tried it with any of my cats. The Mirtz does work fairly well with Minka. I just don't want to give it to her if she still feels ill.

Today is box cleaning day, so I'd better get moving. Lots to do before we head to Reno tomorrow. I don't know how we are going to squeeze all four cats & carriers in the back seat of the truck to take them to Dawn's, but if we can do 3, I guess we can do 4!

Sorry I haven't done a lot of visiting. I will try to do some tonight, but can't promise.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug: Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, DH and DGD, Lisa's DF, Chris' DM and Elise's DM. Thinking of Paula and sending positive vines her way.

Just had to double check my clocks, we had a small power outage yesterday morning and I was worried that we'd forgotten to reset some of them. :p Hi Tricia. :)

Maybe Cinco is showing you flat blues in preparation for tonight. Great news on the hot spot healing!

Sending lots of appy vines for Minka. You can do wonders with a blender and food for assist feeding. Good luck with getting fuds into her.

Sending tons of appy vines for the girls. Just curious...why don't the vetties at UCD like cypro?

Like Wendy said, a blender works well for assist feeding. For Trix, I did use her regular Purina One and pureed it in a food processor with just a little bit of water - not too much water because you want to fill them up with calories, but enough to make it syringe-able. The same thing should work fine with tne Z/D.

Nice blues today, even though we're all hoping for greens.

Sending tons of appy vines to the girls...

Also....I don't have any first-hand experience, but do you think the iron shot could be affecting Minka's appy? I've heard that about iron supplements...could be something to ask the vetty about.

Awwwww Minka eat your fuds sweetheart.

Great that Cinco's spot is coming good but he looks so cute in his shirt I think I'd make him wear it forever!

Great report for Cinco- good to hear he will soon be able to lose the t shirt! (although he sure is cute wearing it LOL) Sending tons of eating vines for Minka and Sasha- hugs too!

Nice blues for Cinco. I'm glad his hot spot is doing better and Sasha ate for you. Sending appy vines for Minka. I have a co-worker who has to take iron supplements periodically. When she does, it really upsets her stomach.

Hi Tricia,
Sorry you had one of those days (I did, too!) and hope that all will go better this evening. Sending eat- yer- fuds vines to Minka and spot- be- gone vines to Cinco.
Have a good trip to Reno tomorrow!

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Amy has a good idea....when they started DM on iron, they warned us it could cause stomach upset so it might be what's going on with Minka

Come on now Cinco...You're your mama's good kitty, so you need to do your best to make her happy!! How about a nice green surf tonight?

I'll be interested in hearing why UCD doesn't like Cypro too (if you know) Its worked so well for China when I've needed to use it!

Minka. Please, settle that tummy and eat our noms. Tricia, I've used SEB for tummy issues in my cats and my previous dog. Sort of a tummy calmer, I guess. Several years ago. Don't remember much.

Vines that trip preparations are falling into place, all the cats/carriers squeeze in your truck. (I once transported 9 cats/carriers in my little Jeep Liberty; you can do it!)

OK, all you kits. Be good.

Enjoy Reno.

Marilyn and Polly

Thanks for stopping in, Wendy, Amy, Serryn, Ruth, Carla, Ella, Chris and Marilyn.

Looks like we're headed for another blue surf.

I don't really want a PJ party tonight, but I'll probably be up late, anyway getting stuff done, so why not??? Cinco???

I gave Minka some Mirtz and it worked. She's still being picky about what she eats, but she is eating.

I don't really have a great answer about the Cypro. They've just said it's just an antihistamine and not any better than Mirtz. If the Mirtz didn't work, I'd press the issue, but it does, so I'm not going to worry about it right now.

The idea about the iron upsetting Minka's tummy is a good one. I will be sure to mention it at her next appointment. Thanks, Chris, Carla and Amy.
