Had a follow-up visit with vet today, at the crack of dawn. This morning I found a lump under her chin probably acne but red. She gained a pound since 2/16/18. Dr Dana thinks the lump is acne but infected so clavamox started. She really wanted convenia, but no way do I allow that. We discussed the labs which she thinks will improve once the glucose is better. If they don't than an ultrasound will be done. I asked if there was some supplements I could give to help the liver and or pancreas. She gave me Hepato Support capsules to try if I wanted to. She would rather I wait until the next labs are done to see if they improve on their own, but is leaving it up to me, I will wait until AB is finished. One new thing at a time. At times I think Olive isn't comfortable not in pain but uncomfortable. She gave me some gabapentin to use if I want to.

Yay on the weight gain! Hope the ABs help (I'm with you about no Convenia!), and I think you're right to wait 'til they're done before starting the supplements. ABs can cause tummy upsets and other issues so best given alone, if possible, imho. :bighug:

She weighs 10 1/2 lbs. Dr thinks she was much larger at one time. Her head and feet are big, her body has no fat. All you feel when you pick her up is her belly. She isn't tall or long. I'm trying to get a better pic but she moves when I get to close.

I have been looking for your posts for the past several days. I missed the post about the name change. :banghead:
Hoping she continues to settle in. And Olive ... please work the juice and bring those numbers down some. You’ll feel so much better.

Olive must be enjoying her fuds! Sorry about the infected acne and hope the Clavamox will clear it up. You are lucky that she doesn't mind taking meds by mouth. Rusty is impossible and we had to resort to Convenia (no problems with it, thankfully).

This is the first time giving her meds. Only had one dose so far and I use liquid when possible. She loves her fuds to say the least.
