Howdy everyone! After a couple of days of what appears to be some kind of infection causing a massive spike in BG, Moe seems to be headed back to his normal. AMPS of 181, so I will shoot 0.5 unit in about 30 minutes.

Last fall when we were on insulin, my vet declared remission when Moe hit the low 100s and we stopped injecting. We never made it to consistent green numbers without insulin. I want to get to consistent green this time around. Fingers crossed!

Moe's appetite is back to normal after his weekend of vomiting. Begging for dinner at 4:30 pm when I got home from work. BG was 234 at +10, and he got a little snack. PMPS was 168 and +2 is 138. I thought that food caused BG to increase? His little snack was maybe half an ounce of Friskies pate, and BG dropped to 168 before his shot about an hour and 45 minutes later. I'm confused...

His onset, or when the insulin takes effect, looks like it's around +2, so you would expect the numbers to go down then. Hope you can get another test in tonight.
As for during the day, maybe he did a Lantus double dip. Some cats so a second smaller dip at the end of the cycle, where the numbers go down a bit, but not as low as the main cycle.
