doing fine this morning all P's in place its a cold wet morning here but hope to get out and take a hike later, we have a small family party tonight its my parents 50th wedding anniversary I would love to be happy for them except they just really do not like one another so kinda hard to enjoy the day but anyway I sent them some really nice flowers we gave them a party for their 25th they got along better back then :roll: just one of those things I guess my parents have never had a good relationship from my viewpoint not like mine and my DH who is like my best friend

I'm glad you and your husband have such a great relationship. Sucks that your parents don't. I couldn't imagine being unhappy late in life. Life is just too short. Use today to celebrate how awesome your marriage is :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Your parents will certainly enjoy their party, even if they do not always get along with each other! 50 years is BIG! I hope it will be an enjoyable occasion for everyone attending.

Just keep your parents' plates and mouths full, and they can't argue! :lol: 50 years is a long time, and hey, something has kept them together. Like you, I also think of my DH as my best friend, so I know what you mean.

Karrie's advice is great, looks like you've learned for their mistakes and found what works. I hope the party goes smoothly.

It is still an event to celebrate when 2 peeps are together that long-- in sickness & health, they should add love & hate sometimes.. We are luckier than our parents were & we got married to our spouses for different reasons than they did then...Rejoice in your happiness & enjoy being with family-Life is short!
My DH is my best friend too-how lucky are we?

Well the party went better then expected and everyone was on good behavior thank goodness for that so good times for all and they seemed to have a good time :razz:

DL is still not showing much response to his dosecrease yet come on lets see some blue Do Lou
