Yesterday's Condo

Good morning LL! Thoughts and prayers continue to go out for our ailing kitties and beans, and to Ele as well.

Willie cleared his bounce quickly! We have had pukus issues now 2 days in a row... at 4am. Yesterday it was clear with a bit of hair; today it was food. Not sure what is up there, but he was all purry and cuddly afterwards today... laying on my chest and giving me nose kisses. Of course, I couldn't fall back asleep. We're officially done with the ABs! Woo! Tomorrow is Willie's appointment with the cardiologist for his echo, so we can know the extent of the heart murmur situation. Will be happy to have that out of the way and have a mostly complete picture of his health situation.

Paying today for yesterday's caffeine, red wine, and post-massage soreness (with a dash of TOM thrown in for good measure) with a migraine. Thus far, the meds haven't kicked in, so I'm btb for a bit. Shouldn't have had that second glass of wine last night....

I'm sorry about the migraine. I hope the meds kick in for you soon. Willie is looking good today, pukus aside. Nose kisses are good for migraines, I've heard... :YMHUG:

Good luck tomorrow with Willie and the cardiologist. Hope you feel better soon. A second glass of wine always gives me a headache. Hope the btd helps.

Good morning! What a nice start for Willie. Great day yesterday, not too long in bounce land - looking good. Good luck with the cardiologist tomorrow - I hope that goes well. nice too on being done with the AB's. YAY!

Sorry for the migraine... bummer. I hope you feel better soon.

Think I figured out the reason for the pukus... the past two days I've been using a beef 4% food. Willie doesn't always tolerate beef well, so I threw out what was left.

My boy is liking the green! Gave him straight 8% out the door to slow him down a bit (I hope it was 8%. Nutro lamb and turkey cutlets... chart says 8% but there was a suspicious amount of gravy), and left a bowl of 8% mixed with raw. His Miss Amanda (my sister) may be stopping by to see him today, and she always gives him "junk food" (canned food instead of raw). I left a can of 4% out for her to treat him with.

Migraine has passed and am at tbp. will be checking on condos over lunch and this evening!

Willie is doing well, Pukus is to be expected from our cats!! Maybe the beef..
Civie has a heart murmur-grade 11/1V whatever that means & he is fine--He needs another echo too--

Nice to see Willie right back in the greens, amazing how their numbers improve when the silly beans finally figure out what's bothering them . Congrats on finishing the abs, must be a relief to both of you. Good luck on the checkup tomorrow.

Weather here is pretty nasty... freezing rain and sleet accumulating, with snow to come later. They allowed us to take unscheduled leave at work today, so I left... figured Willie could use a spot check! Suspect my hunch about the carb % in the food I gave earlier was correct, given this number... though it could be more bouncing. threw away what was left and gave him some raw, which he happily gobbled up. He's now parked on the sofa next to me, right in front of the heat dish, leisurely napping away.

Good luck at the cardiologists. We were just at our dogs two days ago. He is amazing and has helped my dog live longer than she could have without expert care. I wish her vet had told us how serious heart murmers were instead of saying "she has a heart murmer, we'll just monitor it". If I had known there was anything serious about it we would have seen an expert darnit. So good for you, knowing and investigating. At least you have a baseline if anything changes in the future.

Glad your migraine is gone too.

Wishing lots of good wishes for a great visit tomorrow at the cardiologist.. I hear you on "paying" today.. I had a few too many glasses of wine last night at dinner & have been hung over since.. I did nothing but lay in bed today, thankfully I was off!

Good luck at the cardiologist tomorrow. It's difficult to tell whether a heart murmur is going to be associated with serious problems or not. Two of my cats have had grade 3/6 murmurs and had pretty normal looking echos....they just have some valve leakage. We had them checked (echoes) pretty frequently just to be sure things weren't changing. Conversely, a cat can have a pretty serious heart problem and not have any murmur. So until the cardiologist does the echo and takes his heart measurements, then try not too worry too much. Also...have you had his thyroid checked because sometimes hyperthyroidism can cause some effects to the heart that reverse once thyroid meds are started. Our Gussie did this. Heart looks and sounds beautiful now.
