Morning everybody. She's back!!! I couldn't believe the change in her when I walked in and saw her. She looked so much more like my baby girl. Her eyes were so much brighter. As soon as she heard my voice she jumped up and came to the kennel door and put her paw through trying to get to me and started giving me heck. It's the most beautiful sound in the world- a feisty, pissed off Tori.

Funnily enough she has a fever again this morning even though clinically she is so much brighter. Doug changed her antibiotic from Ampicillin to Baytril last night because she just was not responding the way we would like. He didn't really want to but he used it before the time she almost died and she reacted very well to it. Her BG this morning is 194. Not too shabby at all. The best thing though is she's eating on her own. I brought her a kitty buffet for them to give her which she'll probably like much better than the DM.

Now for the best part of the news. Tomorrow if the fever goes and her blood work is OK she may get to come home. Can your believe it? That way she'll have a day at home so we can see how she'll do and if she doesn't do well we can avoid the ER vet again.

See how powerful the love of this board is? It does do miracles. I firmly believe that. Plus we are blessed with a real super vet. Well I should get off to bed here pretty quick. I want to go and visit Missy Kitty this afternoon before I pick up Ayanna from Daycare.

ALso please keep my son in your prayers today. He has his followup appointment with the nephrologist for his test results.

DEFINITELY THE FEEL GOOD CONDO OF THE DAY!!

so good to hear Barb...and the love of the board helps...but it's the love of her bean that pulls your beautiful girl through time and time again!!

YAY!! What a great update! I know it lifted my spirits and hope when Cosmo started responding to me at the ER.

Great news that she is feisty and pissed off!!! That's our girl!!

YIPPIE!!!! Yep - the feel good condo of the day!! I am so very happy that she is feeling better, pissy, eating, everything. What a joy that must have been for you.

I will say a prayer for Daniel - I hope the appt goes well. it seems so unfair for any young man to be so burden with all that he carries. I hope for some answers for him, and some solutions.

Tori!! You is better?? I am SO HAPPY!!! The KTSS is coming over tonight - more soup for you, it seems to be working! We will be bring Tobey too - he gives the best massages, and with the lavender - you will feel so great. WOO HOO! Tori is better! See you soon - Mannie

Fantabulous news about Tori!!! yay....hope she gets to come home tomorrow!! So the KTSS works and plus she is just a fighter; she loves her mamabean so much.

Hi everybody. I'm a bit in shock right now so if I don't make much sense please forgive me. First of all before I scare everybody to death Tori is fine. I went to see her this afternoon and she looked really good. She had a 3/4 empty food bowl in front of her and she was grooming herself. Her fur looks so much better. She promptly started giving me you know what until I got her out of the kennel and then she curled up in my arms and started to purr. I didn't get a chance to talk to Doug because he was busy with appointments and that's OK. The tech told me that Tori was eating pretty well and that her temp was "high normal." The plan as far as she knows is still to send Tori home tomorrow if her temp stays down and everything is OK. Her BGs were staying between 180 and 190. I'm so happy and relieved my little girl will probably be in my arms this time tomorrow night. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers tonight so she she can come home. I told her that I thought the KTSS was going to come and visit her again tonight and that Tobie was going to give her a special massage. She purred really loud when she heard that.

I just got off the phone with my son a little while ago. You know I just never thought a person could feel so incredibly happy and so unbearably sad all in one day but now I know it's possible. He had his appointment with the nephrologist this afternoon. He believes that he has "a very rare complication caused by his connective tissue disorder which is causing kidney disease". He wouldn't give it a name because he first of all want to see the MRI of Daniel's heart and aorta and after that will be doing a kidney biopsy. He did mention that because of the EDS he is probably going to be at more risk for bleeding during the procedure. We don't even have a date yet for that MRI. He said that Daniel will have to be on medication for the rest of his life and will have to be followed very carefully. He wants the Connective Tissye people to put a rush on the outstanding tests. Wow this just seems to be getting worse and worse all the time for my son. He's only 24. I can't help but wonder what kind of a life he's going to have. Please keep him in your prayers.

As for me well I'm exhausted. Tonight is my last of 7 shifts in a row and then I will have 3 nights off. Thank God. I just wish that someone would turn the pressure down a little bit. SOrry guys I'm rambling here again. I seem to do a lot of it lately. Thank you again for all your love and support. I really don't know what I would do without it. I must start getting ready for work now. Please keep us in your prayers.
 
The KtSS is on their way - they are so very happy for Tori. Mannie say the Tobey has been limbering up his paws all after noon. it s wonderful to rad your WCR for her tonight. It made me smile - ear to ear. I know how happy you must be.

I am sorry for Daniel - What a nightmare for him. I am constantly amazed at how long it takes to get all this worked out. In that regard I feel for him - how incredibly hard that is. I wish the best for him, I hope too that they can put a rush on all of this. Maybe them he can feel better. As always - in our thoughts and prayers. hang in there!

I am glad you have some days off coming up. I hoe you can find some rest time - it has been an incredible week for you. Have a good night, and YAY for Tori - such great news!
 
I cant even imagine what you are going through at this time--You must be a tower of strength, to deal with all this! It does take so long till they figure out what is what, so I will pray for the answers for your DS comes quickly & what needs to be done will be done.

I am so happy to see that Tori is doing better. I hope you get to take her home and snuggle her soon. Such improvements- this board does have power! When two or more people are in agreement, those vibes go out so much stronger into the universe. :smile:
