Well, Christmas does have kidney disease and pancreatits. But we lucked out and her bG showed up as normal. Her BUN levels was 83, and her creatinine was high, he vet said the number, but I can't remember. Anyway, I've got her on a different food now, and she's on sub Q fluids and taking them like a champ.

Now Tip, beautiful greens. :mrgreen: It's quite possible she's dipping lower after +6, but I've been too busy today trying to get things in order for Christmas that I couldn't really test her. Tomorrow will hopefully be a better story.

Sorry to hear the diagnosis on Christmas, but at least Tip is giving you some beautiful cycles.

Marje did a great post on pancreatitis and the best website for CRF is http://www.felinecrf.org/index.htm Good to hear she's taking the fluids well. Low carb, low phosphorus food should help her as well.

Thankfully Christmas has none of the symptoms, so we're hoping just fluids and extra care will get her back on the right track. I'm sure it helps that I had to help Tip through pancreatitis once. Thank you for the link on kidney disease. Right now she's on prescription k/d until we can find a better food. It'll be pretty close to free since I'm trading in her old unused w/d. Once that runs out, I should have had enough time to find a better option.

But yeah, at least Tip is having great numbers. That's been cheering me up quite a bit.
