Good Morning Everyone, After yesterday's excitement we are off on today's adventure: Stu vomited his breakfast immediately after eating it. I threw out the old food (EVO venison), thinking it may have gone bad, opened a new can (EVO Turkey & chicken), gave him a tablespoon of it and he vomited that, too (in two separate vomits, so a total of three, all of them very liquidy!). Since I had given him his insulin just before putting out his breakfast (our usual routine), I wanted food to be in his body to give the insulin something to work on. So I put out a little EVO dry (which he likes the best). He ate it and so far has not vomited again. He is drinking normally today (yesterday, in retrospect, I don't think he was drinking as much as usual, and he also wasn't eating as much as usual; and now that I look back on it, he seemed less active yesterday). Ketone test this morning was negative. I'll watch him carefully over the course of the day. Could the dose increase on Sunday and yesterday's low nadir and then bounce back have caused this stomach upset? Thanks for watching!!

Re: 2/24 Stu AMPS 364 vomiting

I don't think you can rule anything out with a cat but there are so many kitties here that bounce and don't vomit, I'm skeptical that they are related.

Keep an eye on Stu and make sure he didn't get into anything he shouldn't have. If this persists throughout the morning, I'd call the vet.

How is the LB action? Has Stu been peeing and pooing?

Sending healing tummy vines to Stu!! You know cats can vomit from almost anything..Scarf & barf when they eat too fast..
Hope it passes real real soon!!
