Good day LL!

Morgaine was a lovely 115 this AM. She actually used her box some, more so than not. 2 poos and a pee in the boxes this AM. She also pee'd on the pad once or maybe she split the pee in both places, ! One poo was very normal and one was loose. I am still givng pumpkin and may increase it or try the slippery elm if that doesn't help. I decided to add some attract cat to one box and moved it into the hallway. Earlier I heard her peeing out there and looked out and she was hopping out of the box. She was also purring for her fuds this AM. One thing I am seeing is that she isn't completely finishing her food. She eats most of it but is now leaving some. I will see if she eats it later. It does concern me if this medication affects her appetite but I will also see how her BGs go today. And of course, we are not going to be using the bupe for long and she will have to adjust to another med.

I hope to get to some condos today and apologize that i have not. Been a little preoccupied but i am always thinking of you all and your lovely furbabies. Sending good thoughts and healing vines to all in need.

Will you be able to convince your vet to keep up the bupe for more time? She must be feeling a lot better.

I'm so sorry you and Morgaine have been dealing with so much. I am glad you have the support of the others here. They are truly wonderful people to lean on. You guys are the best.

I am so glad that you are seeing a bit of improvement. I agree with what Karrie said. I wonder if the vet would agree to continue with the Bupe if you continue to see improvement on it. I know this is only day one of six, but it will be interesting to see if you continue to see improvement. I hope so! I also hope that your hand wounds are healing.

Unless there is an easier and less costly form of the bupe I can not afford it nor can i manage to inject it. Marje had to do that for me. It is slow released and in a syringe that requires the use of both hands and some dexterity, which i no longer have. And, the cost is prohibitive for me. 2 shots were $35. That is the cost of a month of the gabapentin. Maybe there is a different form of the Bupe that we can use but I am going to see how she is after a few days on it. She is a little spaced out but has moments of being her old self. Maybe she needs some time to adjust. The meds plan was from a pain specialist who Marje thinks the world of and I may defer to her for this one. Let's see what happens.

Linda, I think she is feeling better but she remains a little spaced out on the bupe. I think she would adjust to it if it were used longer.

Hi guys .. I am glad things are looking up for you guys today! I know you've had it rough lately and it's about time you are experiencing the good! I hope morgaine continues to use the box and continues to give you these nice numbers .. have a great weekend!

I heard her chomping down on her fuds so i looked and she has finished them off. So glad she decided to do that.

What a much better day today all around! This makes me soooo happy!

Yes there is a different form of bupe than the slow release. It's the injectable but you can rub it on their gums or just use the no needle part of a syringe to squirt it up against the gum and cheek pouch. I use it for
Gus and it is much less expensive than the SR Injections. So if the gabapentin doesn't work, there are still options.

I'll be happy to come by Sunday and give the other injection and if I can trust Gracie, maybe we can do my chart :-D

Hope your scratches are better today.

I'm glad Morgaine is feeling better. Hugs to you. :YMHUG: You've been through so much and such a good mommy bean.

Life is a journey with many bumps in the road. This is just one of those. Thanks for all the good thoughts and concern.

Yes, my scratches are okay! One looked a little irritated last night but it is better today and i have an appt. with an NP on Monday anyway so I will have her take a look at it all.

Marje, I was thinking the same thing about doing your chart if it works for you. Let's see how your baby girl is doing and take it from there. Thanks so much for helping me with that shot and it is good to know that there is a less costly form of bupe if it is needed.

Morgaine was out in the LR for a couple of hours, enjoying the fresh air and watching the action out side as the neighbors come and go. She did not pee on the rug. She had some lunch, not her usual amount but she ate most of it and will hopefully polish it off before her next meal.
