@Wendy&Neko I think I should hold at this dose 2 more cycles. Right? I think I’d rather be more conservative this time because it was my fault a couple of times when I gave him higher carbs the last 2 or 3 days when I had to be out. He may have gone lower if I hadn’t done that.Yes Max listen to Wendy lol. Is that something that happens with SRT…the dose going back up like that? I mean I know we just have to go with the flow but I’m just trying to understand what’s going on. Maybe we will get something tomorrow. You can hold doses with lower blues up to 10 cycles, so I'd give him that extra day if you think he might respond then. Having said that, I don't like the amount of red he's seeing on this dose, I suspect he'll need an increase. Just throwing that out there, for Max to see and respond to.![]()
Suzanne I think I’ve come to the conclusion that some cats like Max and maybe even Eddie too, just do what they do, sometimes there’s no rhyme or reason for it ….or if it is, they keep us guessing.I am confused about cats having to have SRT more than once and even cats like Eddie who had the hypophysectomy and then also SRT twice.
I’m just trying to go with it.Well I really do see that Max is doing better. Your hard work and loving care is definitely helping him to have a good life.Suzanne I think I’ve come to the conclusion that some cats like Max and maybe even Eddie too, just do what they do, sometimes there’s no rhyme or reason for it ….or if it is, they keep us guessing.I’m just trying to go with it.

Thank you so much for saying that. Sometimes I just need to be reminded of that because it gets very discouraging at times. Some days he acts like he feels like a kitten and then others he looks miserable and stays under the bed. The really high numbers make him feel bad. I can almost tell without checking when he’s in red or worse. He seems to feel the best on blues. When he’s in the green, he’s usually very sleepy and I have to wake him up to eat or check his BG.Well I really do see that Max is doing better.
