2/24 George AMPS 92, +2 92, +4 68, +6 95, +11.5 109, PMPS 98, +2 78, +3 68, +4 68

Ok. Then test at +2. Let's see where he is and whether he needs MC at +2 and +3.

A couple of housekeeping items - (a) please add his name to the thread title and (b) the units column in your SS for last night is blank. you shot a drop right?

Fixed! This is group is amazing and so organized. I love it! I was in such a hurry this morning trying to get the info in, I did the same thing in the title yesterday, but caught it quick.

Thank you! Will do. =)

The other thing I wanted to clarify was - did he stay up with just LC last night? Did you have to intervene with higher carbs at any point?

Ok. It's good he didn't need higher carbs last night. Hopefully he will stay flattish this morning like he did a couple of days back! :-)
Let's see where he is at +2. That's an hour from now?

That's flat as a pancake.
I would suggest higher LC now get your daughter to give higher LC at +3 and test at +4.

If you are nervous you can equally use MC now, higher LC at +3 and test at +4

I'm on my way home to test a +4 right now.

I think my daughter forgot to feed him at +3.

I'm nervous now, I can stay home if I need to for a little bit or come back at + 6. I will have an update in about 15 minutes or less

No need for any medium carb?
Can I go back to work?
I get home between +9 and +10

Side note, how long can can of med carb be in fridge before I throw it away?

I kept canned food in the fridge for about 4 days You can freeze it in ice cube trays when you open the cans if you want and see if it’s still appealing to her.

She’s doing really well and so are you! Stressful I know. :bighug:

You may want to set an alarm on your phone or your daughter's phone to remind her to feed for the next couple of hours :)
That's what I did! If I fed him at +4 and she feeds him at +5, should she feed him at +6 before I get there or should I test him first then feed?

Do I still need a +6 if I am feeding him every hour?

Out of habit I gave him a spoonful of lc food. It's 12:30 p.m. my time. I could not feed him again until I test at 6:30, or I can give him some food at a certain time like 4:30

The lc shouldn’t push him over 100. Don’t worry about that. Remember his pancreas is starting to work so he might be lower at the next test. A working pancreas brings the bg down 3-4 hours after eating.

Good to know. Still get a PMPS and shoot a drop. The reason for the early test was that if she was lower you would see if she’s still dropping or on way up and you won’t need to stall.

Stalling is suggested if the bg is lower than usual and you don’t know if he is still heading down. If that happens, you don’t feed, wait 20-30 minutes and test again. If George were say 90 at +10 and 55 at PMPS, you might do that to make sure it’s safe to shoot. The only issue with stalling is he might go under 50 without food and then he couldn’t get insulin.
