WOO HOO!! What a nice flat cat I have today, so far anyway!!! Go China!!
We've had a fun morning so far too, with China playing one of her favorite games, "Hey Mom, I'm lost"" where she goes yowling through the house (like only a siamese can yowl) until I say "China, you're not lost", and then she comes running to me, jumps up, gives me a "chirp" and then launches back off to go yowling through the house again. She's played this game for as long as I can remember, but it's been awhile since she played it. After about 20 minutes of this game, she went to play another one of her favorites...knock everything off the counter, desk, end table, tv stand, etc. etc. etc. and watch it hit the floor. Once it hits the floor, she loses interest in it. Such a silly kitty!
Was hoping my week was going to be much slower but it's starting to get full again, especially because I have to get as much done as I can before having the knee surgery. DM wants to sell her home, so I have to go meet several agents to get some ideas on how much it might sell for, and then over the weekend, we found out that during a storm last week, quite a few of the shingles on her roof were blown off, so will have to go down there to meet the insurance adjuster. DM has started a list of things she wants from the house to go into the apartment we found for her too. I hadn't really thought this through when we started discussing her moving out of the Assisted Living center and into an apartment. Just the thought of setting up a brand new apartment with everything she'll need is overwhelming! Pots, pans, dishes, silverware, sheets, pillowcases, towels, mops, buckets, vacuum cleaner, cleaning products, clocks, pictures, etc, etc. etc.....At least I think we're just going to buy a new couch/chair since the ones at her house don't really fit into the apartment, but she's really looking forward to having at least one of her antique china cabinets, which means taking all the china out, wrapping it and then hopefully moving a rather large piece of antique furniture without breaking it. Oh well....guess we'll just do what we have to do. It IS nice to see her excited about something again though!
Well, guess I'd better pay attention to China for a few minutes...she's started another one of her favorite games...the "I'll stand in your way so you can't see the computer and you'll have to pet me" game.
Silly kitty!!
Hope you're all having a great Monday!! Sending healing vines to those who need them!
