Good morning, everyone,
Nice green AMPS and with it, an ouchie fur shot! Rusty pulled away before I had finished shooting. So on we go. Maybe his shed needed to drain a little. We had a good night. Rusty is in his little bed by the radiator and maybe he'll come over for a schmooze in a little while.
Today is the end of the olympics and now life can get back to normal. I have eyestrain from too much TV! Last night at our film "club" we watched one of the bonus tracks on the Leni Riefenstahl "Olympia" DVD. It was a newsreel of the 1936 winter olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Wow, those skiers had to contend with deep SNOW. And no groomed trails (they were breaking trail in the actual events). And narrow trails through trees for the downhill, in which the skiers followed one another after only a few seconds, so lots of guys were on the course at the same time. And the bobsled was harrowing! It really made Sochi seem tame, all the more so when you realize that the olympic athletes in those days were all amateurs and had day jobs!
Wishing all a good day,
Ella & Rusty
